You don't have a fire extinguisher anywhere in the house?
Dude, they are like 40 bucks or so at Costco - really nice one. You need at least one. It may save your life one day. Canadian Tire has them starting from $29.00. http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/ga...0069p.html#srp
I have one in the garage and one in the kitchen. Actually, I think I have more than that. I just remembered I have one in the trailer and one downstairs. Yup, I'm paranoid. Never had a fire in like....... forever, but all it takes is the one time. Just one in the house will do, lol.

I don't think you can rent them, but check places like Princess Auto or CT they might have them on sale. They should have larger ones than the standard car size (I know CT does, I've seen them before, availability will probably vary by store though. Iirc it was at the cambie location a few years ago).
Maybe you should have the fire department on standby?  good luck!

Make sure you get a BC rated extinguisher for gas fires. The powder should smother the fire. Water will just spread it around.

Try Bosa Foods or other Italian places. Might even try Donald's Market on Hastings. They carry some weird shit......... they have/had a good selection of Panettone, too. LOL
