Btw has anyone here gotten records from the creeper? It seems really tough.

Records can be played on the jukebox and to get a drop it requires you to make it so a skeleton's arrow makes the killing blow on a creeper.
Sounds like hell.

Another thing I want to encounter is a really rare spawn where a skeleton archer is riding a spider. Lolololo

They just got some US servers so they should be good! They seem like a reputable UK server company. I remember seeing a lot of Multiplay servers for BFBC2.

It's about $7.60 a month or $9 a month with a 15slot ventrilo. Even though $10 a month doesn't seem that much, but I can't be spending that much extra:( No job + full time student.

Let me know if you guys want to pitch in like a $1 or $2 every month or so! It's $30/$20 (with vent/without) every 3 months!

Im down for pitching in. I just won $6 from some BFBC2 knifing contest, where every knife on this specific player = $1. So now I have $6 in my paypal (: Contest is over now though.

I'm not sure exactly what kind of rules we would have. I'd have to look into all the mods. I'd think everyone would be given like a 100x100 block of land which is protected. Meaning no one can grief you. And then from there everything is open. You can build what ever you feel like and maybe we'll get some actual buildings or something going.

Never really played multilayer so I'm not entirely sure. Suggestions?

Somethings I noticed while trying out online play for the first time. Server specific rules.

- Unlimited HP
- no monsters at night
- everyone builds anywhere they want
- people put up signs saying things like "TOSd's House"
- no real policing except all the regular players trust each other to not grief or rummage through other people's storage boxes
- community gardens, ie reed, bamboo, etc
- cool feature of teleport to other players, like if a player needed help building you could teleport to them or something if you are far away

Anyways I think our server should keep the monsters. And I'm liking that 100X100 no griefing zone but is that even possible?

Having unlimited HP and no monster spawning is a problem with the game not the server. It hasn't been fully implemented yet and is still in the works.

I'm trying to look for the mod right now for the 100x100 no griefing. But it think a good thing to have in our server would be like a general storage place. Where it'd be just a bunch of storage boxes and we'd store all of the materials we need for like big porjects or something.

I went on a public server and noticed this guy building a very elaborate subway station and some douche came flying out of no where digging in every direction. DESTROYED

I couldn't help but LOL

We'll probably have a whitelist too meaning only people on RS friends of friends can get in and no one can just come and destroy all our stuff.

Yea I wouldn't mind setting it up with the mods and stuff and helping administer it either. It'll just take me a while to figure them out and have exams until thursday but I can start setting it up.

Right now Jeremy617 is paying for the server so we would have to talk with him! I think a lump sum would be a good idea so we won't have to be sending money every month. And it'd be easier to manage.
