do member get any coverage or service if driving down state ?

AWDTurboLuvr 10-28-2010 07:37 PM

BCAA is truly awesome. I've had my car flatbedded from Mission back to Richmond once on a flatbed and that was covered...would've been an expensive tow!

!oHenry 10-28-2010 08:12 PM

Man, I called BCAA so many times last year they upgraded me to premium for free.

What did you tell them?:D

fliptuner 10-28-2010 11:00 PM

I unplugged the distributer and told them it wasn't starting.

Nintensity 10-29-2010 01:18 PM

I should get BCAA.

Slightly off topic, My 1991 Toyota Tercel had a dead alternator while on the 17 highway heading south in Ladner yesterday, I called a towtruck, and he charged me 65 bucks just to tow it off the highway into an isolated parking lot 2 blocks away. all that for 65 bucks.

If i had a BCAA membership, it would have been free....

and they would tow it to the closest shop for free.. and if you fill up at a mohawk or husky station, or buy anything there (Excluding lotto and a couple of other things) they give you 3.5c per L or 3.5c per $ towards your membership, my renewal last year for my premium membership was 15$ for 2 people, so totally worth it IMHO

having delt with busters and BCAA, BCAA has by far better drivers. They seem happier and the uniform makes them cleaner even if they're covered in grease from whatever car.
Busters guys are in sweats and a flimsy worksafe compliant vest, looks more like they're gonna run off with your car.
BCAA guys also seem to care more and I've given a few bucks tip.

Dunno if it's normal but I had to get my motorcycle towed cause it wouldn't even idle, and they sent a flatbed, was fully expecting the sling.

Busters guys always seem to be in a rush too, and I'm worried they'll do some damage.
CAA guys aren't slow but they're not rush rush rush either. unless you're in a rush.

Had to call BCAA again today. The tow came really fast and the driver took very good care of the car. +1 BCAA

DavidNguyen 10-30-2010 11:17 PM

glad this thread was created. im gonna consider BCAA

Gh0stRider 10-30-2010 11:48 PM

How much is it annually or monthly for you after taxes and fees?

hk20000 10-31-2010 04:14 PM

I towed my shell without drivetrain to my favorite shop from Richmond to Vancouver Powell Area and I was charged only $15 because I only paid for the distance after the first 15km.

1 tow or 2 a year and you'd be in for a savings compared to not having anything. Of course, some credit cards also provide similar service but BCAA has the best coverage around.

Actually I have the bcaa plus membership. Currently paying 120 bucks annually. The initial sign up was awesome causebi got an entertainment coupon with it for free. So far I used my membership twice and both times they sent flat beds due to the fact that they were closest to me.

i thinking about signing up for the premier, but it doesnt come with the coupon book. how do i get it? lol

GabAlmighty 10-31-2010 11:03 PM

I've got a few 160km tows and a bunch of 5km tows on my new membership. That's all I really care about is the distance of the tows, now I can get it home from the trailhead... Hopefully.

One time my timing chain fell apart in my car at Merritt and I got it towed to Abbotsford for 170 bucks with my friends BCAA membership. And the guy was fairly nice, very talkative made the trip go by really fast. I bought him a burger for his tip as well :haha:

BCAA is a must just for towing alone..

DavidNguyen 11-01-2010 12:33 PM

howcome you had to pay the 170? your friend should have said it was his car
