Look left, turn your head left, turn your shoulders left, then the rest of the body will follow. [or right, and the rest will follow]

your arms are a large part of your kinetic energy, allowing you to wind up to spin. However even if you spin without looking your body will not allow it to commit.

When you come around from a spin, the rest of the body will follow, PROVIDED your eyes have seen/spotted the landing.

Common problem for people going off of bigger jumps trying to spin is the fact that they tend to shift their eyes/head in a direction that leads them to fall on their back, or their stomach.

the backside 360 is the easier of the spins because you can turn your head and your body 180 allowing you to virtually spot the landing quicker.

The frontside 3 is harder because you can only turn your head in a 90degree position before the rest of the body follows suit.
i seem to find frontside 360 easier than back i guess its just personal preference

Great info above for those who don't know about the EST model. However, in my initial post I was not referring to the difference on the EST.

I don't have an EST board, so I know to not even look at those bindings. Right now Pac.Boarder and Comor have two Burton Cartel bindings non-EST, both differing models. The alternate to the regular Cartel appears to have more padding on it, at the same price. I couldn't find any info online on this alternate model.

Burton Claims the EST bindings are designed to be more efficient....people who use them can't tell whether they are using the non-EST version or the EST version.

Edit*
I thought we were talking about the restricted cartels. My bad.

The only difference between the regular 2011 cartels and the restricted ones are the asymmetrical strap.
From what I've read, people seem to love the asym strap. I have the 2009 Triads, so I don't know what the asym strap feels like. I'll get the 2012 Malavitas next year!

i guess need to learn to spot my landings...
i have a bad habit of looking back when i land my back 180
i guess thats why the front 180 is so easy...

I look back when I land my backside 180s, it prevents me from reverting and spinning out of control. When I look back, I look for when where the tail of my board stomps on the snow...this way I know I'm aligned and flat.

You're SUPPOSED to keep looking back until the spinning momentum stops right after landing. just make sure you're looking DOWN at your landing at the same time.

Try combo-ing up your spins with an easy grab like the indie. I find it helps control my center of gravity mid-air so I don't land on an awkward angle.

Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone knows how to get to this run?
I was almost certain on how to get here when I went on christmas day when they had 45cm of fresh pow but I think a lot of the runs were closed.
Going tomorrow so if anyone knows exactly where this is, it'd be cool.
It's on the whistler side.

First time on Baker for snowboarding... WOW is all I can say. The powder was half way up my shins. Blue bird skies. Just amazing. Definitely worth the drive down south.

anyone have tips for preventing ice from freezing on the surface of goggles?

rubbing the lens with the thumb of my gloves helped initially, but once the ice accumulated i had to keep going back to the lodge to blow dry the ice out of the lens. the ice just stuck there and were hard to scrape off.

there's got to be a better way to stay up on the mountain for longer without having to keep going back to the lodge just to melt the ice off...

Just came back from cypress.

SO. MUCH. POW!!

Too bad the visibility took a turn for a worse at ~4pm, couldn't see where I was going, so I stuck to just practicing on rails instead of doing runs.

Does anyone have an endeavor snowboard? I'd pay $200 for a new 2010 one from the original price of almost $500.
