Spots to see the city and places at night

Where would you suggest to go and look at the downtown or somewhere pretty at night?

I want to go there and take some pictures or drive with a girl there.

Excuse me for my grammar.

Vancouver Convention center
and Stanley park
those are one of my few favorite spots to hunt girls down

Santofu 11-15-2010 08:19 PM

Stanley Park is pretty dark to walk around at night.
When is the parking limit?
Is any there any chance that there is a spot where you can see the whole city? Sorta like movies when people drive to the mountain and see the whole city like hollywood for example.

-Beside the parking lot of the Vancouver Maritime Museum.
-Spyglass Pl. just below the Cambie bridge.
-Vancouver Olympic Village
-Drive a little bit up Cypress Bowl Rd. and there should be look-out spots.

Yes but that also brings on its own advantages ;)

I've never encountered anybody checking for proof of payement, even when I left my car for a little walk once.

I've yet to find something similar to this myself, but my favourite spot would probably be the first "viewpoint" in Stanley Park, which is where the Totem Poles are.

Gorgeous scenery at night if it's nice out.

Enjoy, OP.

There's this spot in Burnaby where you are high up and the city's view is in front of you. Not sure what the point's called but Google Maps this address: 215 Hythe Avenue North, Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada

xilley 11-16-2010 12:20 AM

anl27 11-16-2010 12:54 AM

Cypress is nice and dark at night up there. Good drive too.

Behind the north van automall. You aren't high off the ground, but it looks real pretty at night. Plus you got the ocean and city as backdrops too.

hmmm not sure where you live or how far your willing to drive, but in burnaby theres capitol hill! if your on hastings heading EAST (towards sfu) just after the mcdonalds on gama, take your next left, it should be a street called HYTHE, keep cruising hythe and you'll see on your left hand side eventually! theres a few park benches at the spot that you'll park at..but its usually got kids drinking there at nights! but its a great view!

and yes you can see the city on seymour too
