Waiting for Delivery and CN worker not working??

I am waiting my C300 4Matic to be delivered and the dealer is saying - the car is here in Vancouver (since Friday) - CN Thornton Yard and workers not working because of the cold weather...

This does not make any sense to me, can I trust this this excuse?

I don't care if sales rev go crazy on my new car or not, better than waiting with this weather condition. - because I sold my set of winter tires already..

But I hope nothing like that happens tomorrow..

^ IMO you can trust the dealer. The sales guy has better things to do. Your car is probably the 50th he's driven already. They want their money too, so it's not in their best interest to stall.

Besides, having to wait makes you appreciate the car more. I know it did for me.

A luxury car dealer will do almost anything to keep your business, their reputation is important to them and they a very demanding clientele. Communicate your displeasure with their service to them and mention that some free swag might improve your experience with their dealership, increasing the likelihood that you would return.

I would wait an extra week for a few golf shirts and a travel mug, if it were from Mercedes.

That is so true ! It's not the salesperson that's not delivering your car. Their job is basically checking if it arrive at the dealership via computer system. Waiting for a week or two isn't a long wait for a popular c class.

You want to wait and not rush them even if it's only a couple of days, the dealership still has to do a PDI and a detail (for luxury brands) before they deliver and you don't want them to rush those.

Wow, talk about impatient. I love the "salesguy just wants to rip on your car" comment. As a salesguy, trust me... after you've driven the same thing a handful of times it becomes old. And most salespeople are not car enthusiests who would even really bother to want to drive the car hard. And if you crash a new C300, you can bet you'll loose your job. Not something they would want to risk.

If you're really worried about it, do what my friend did with his STI. He said there can not be more than 5KM on the car, and the car can not be washed (didn't want it scratched) or he would not take delivery. The dealership did exactly as he asked (although it's Subaru Kelowna who is known to be one of the best subie dealers around). They even went as far as to park it inside for a week until he had a chance to make it out there from Vancouver.
