To keep or not to keep

I love my CRX SE but it seems wrong to put a baby in a two seater doesn't it? I need support guys I'm so not a minivan soccer mom kinda girl.

Berzerker 11-24-2010 09:54 PM

It's illegal to put your baby in the front seat of a 2 passenger vehicle is it not? Oh I guess your car doesn't have airbags so I'm not sure about the legalities but it's def. not safe.

Berz out.

GabAlmighty 11-24-2010 09:56 PM

fliptuner 11-24-2010 10:51 PM

I drove my son home from the hospital and for 3 years after in a '64 Camino.

Front end is high because the motor was out when pic taken.

If you like your CRX so much, have you looked at a newer Civic?

does anyone know about this? I see my neighbour riding in her smart car with her 4 year old all the time.

too_slow 11-25-2010 07:03 AM

Keep the CRX as your fun car..

Buy a used Volvo 850 non-turbo or a pre-1999 2.2L Legacy as your 'family' car..

I think the air bag has to be disabled to be legal. My car has a detection system to disable the air bag if a car seat is installed in the passenger seat.

MINIVAN FTW

looks ugly, but lifting your 15pd baby + baby seat in and out of a spacious, sliding door minivan is way easier than any subcompact.

+ its way safer than a CRX

Dont forget room for the stroller and diaper bag!!

Jsunu 11-25-2010 08:54 AM

In my opinion,

Safety of your baby > CRX

roastpuff 11-25-2010 09:06 AM

Get a hot hatch of some kind... still CRX-flavored but safer.

EP3 hatch?

Mugen EvOlutioN 11-25-2010 09:10 AM

sell it
the car is old
think more for the baby

some_punk 11-25-2010 04:02 PM

some how i think this comes to mind again after reading the first post

Leopold Stotch 11-25-2010 04:30 PM

just sell the crx, better yet crush it, you had a baby your life is over.

get the most boring best valued somewhat decent car you can afford that allows easy access for your child without banging their head on the way in or out. i think the latter is quite important.

if you have the funds (and the room) i'd purchase a second car.

Berzerker 11-25-2010 07:39 PM

Actually I thought more on your issue and I have one final snippet of advice..... Get rid of the Baby and keep the CRX. CRX's are pretty rare and your better off with the CRX than the baby IMO.

Berz out.

you're right. coz you're not a girl at all!

no girls exist on the intarw3bz!!!!111oenone

but seriously, it's such a cheap car (you're not going to get a lot by selling it, not defaming it or anything), just keep it and get something else.

spoon.ek9 11-25-2010 07:51 PM

^ you have no idea what a CRX SE is worth, do you?
