Did you call in for warranty or email? And how was your experience with Samsung? Look forward to the turn-around time update!

He's probably using EDGE with Background Data turned off, and phone left untouched. There's no way he can hit that time with 3G, background data enabled, and mid-heavy usage (at least 2 hours on-screen time).

I don't need constant connection/background data so I turn data on when I need it....saves battery life like a mofo. Data plans are a waste of money imo...I have wifi at work and at home. Anything I get in between isn't going to go anywhere in the 15-30 minute commute from work.

having stuff like a shift key on a blackberry where you can easily add in punctuation, capitalization, symbols etc... is a huge bonus and helps you type super quick even when theres tricky characters.

if you go with the new galaxy nexus most of those problems disappear.
not to sound cocky but i would love to challendge a bb user lol. have you ever used the swiftkeyX keyboard? it can predict what you want to type because it learns from your typing style. also symbols are imprinted on the keyboard just like blackberry's. ive had my fair share with bb's. ive owned the 8530, 9300, 9000, 9700, 9800 in the past two years. thing about blackberry is that if you make a mistake you have to actually backspace or scroll back and theres not "autocorrect". sure it will tell you that you spell something wrong but it wont correct it for you.

the only thing i dont like about the swiftkeyX keyboard is that themes for the keyboard is so limited.

Compared to the battery life on an iPhone 4 it certainly is. My friends are on their iPhones more than I am and their phones can last an entire work day. All I do is basic text/email, on-screen time is 3 hours, and my battery could only push to 11-12 hrs before completely dying. I rarely browse, and game when my phone is not plugged. It's totally unacceptable, imo.

I'm beginning to think that the Android OS isn't optimize for efficiency, compared to iOS and WP7.

my personal phone is the nexus s and work phone is iphone4.

i'm not a fan of iphone at all, but i have to admit the battery life on that thing is crazy where as the nexus s is to the point where if i don't have it plugged in and at full charge when i leave the house i don't bother because i'm scared my phone will die if i'm out all day. on my iphone4 if it was 50% i'd still take it out with me because i'd know there's still be life on it by the time i come home.

That's exactly how I feel about the iPhone and the Nexus S.

It's a stock 4.0.4 rom (rooted) for the Nexus 4G ported over to Nexus S. I've tried all ICS roms including CM9 and gingerbread roms, they all have poor battery life on my phone.

I've had my phone for less than 6 months.
