I always play my games on the hardest setting I can, so I get satisfaction knowing that I beat it.
But saying that, I cant do shit unless im a Soldier, having all the guns is way more important than having a couple of spells.
Both play throughs I did, I picked soldier, I just couldnt beat it as any other class
First playthrough was done on normal doing the paragon path as a soldier. Second playthrough, I played as a Renegade FemShep on Insanity (hardest setting) using the Sentinel class. It's probably the most boring class of them all, but it's the easiest one to use if you wanna get through Insanity difficulty the easiest way coz you have an extra tech shield that you can constantly keep bringing out once it goes down as long as you wait for the quick cooldown to set.

Most fun class would, hands down, have to be Vanguard though for anyone just starting the game or wanting to do another run of ME2. For ME1 playthroughs, your best bet is the soldier class as the ME1 classes were pretty imbalanced and kind of shitty. ME2 though, every class is its own win.

perhaps if you skip all the conversations/cutscenes/loyal missions/side quests I dont think that's very reasonable...but that defeats the purpose of playing RPG
i would suggest just watching the dark horse comic recap for ME1 and then jump into ME2
just beat ME2...i thought the ending was a little disappointing considering the crazy build-up from growing the team from grassroots level.
phenomenal game nonetheless
