Home theatre in a box? Or amp/receiver and speakers? If the latter, you can buy a decent Klipsch 5.1 speaker set this week for $299 at FS. Add an el-cheapo receiver for 300ish and you're good to go.

Unless it's leaked by an insider (which doesn't happen often these days, I'm afraid), you'll have to wait for RFD to post it up which is typically 1-3 days before Dec. 24. Fortunately, they're able to get high-res copies so you can check model numbers, etc.

I work at home outfitters, so if anyone needs some kitchen electrics like a blender or something. Tomorrow morning from 8am-11am. We have 20% off everything if you use your hbc mastercard. And if you get a flyer on the 23rd, you can have 25% off one item in the store. And as for boxing day the only deal that really stands out to me is a kitchenaid stand mixer for 199.99. Only available in chrome. These are normally 349.99.

Also if anyone wants, this is just for employees, They are giving me a coupon for one of these upcomming days, its $150 a dyson vaccum plus my employee 10% off, but its one per employee, im 18 and won't be needing a dyson since my mom already has one. If anyone needs one pm me. No point letting a great deal go to waste.

Sorry, I just called my manager and was mistaken. The dyson deal is also for upright and canister vaccuums, and i found out the cheapest one is around 499.99, and tomorrow is 20% off from 8am-11pm. So i did the math, you can walk out with a dyson for $313.59. Which is originally 499.99. This isnt available for customers so please don't go in saying you heard of this deal.

I want everything together, including speaker stands, so I've been looking at this:

Plus the receiver syncs with my PS3... although I have no clue what it will allow me to do. :D

There was two sony home theater systems for sale on the buysell here. They were new in box and seemed like a good mark down. Maybe you should check it out.

Does Ikea typically do anything on Boxing Day?

I need some new things for my room and I don't want to buy them now only to find out that I could have gotten it for much cheaper next weekend

Sync: the PS3 will turn on when you set the receiver to the PS3/GAME input.

Convenience is good, but if you're willing to spend a bit more (or are patient enough to find clearance deals), getting proper speakers and a receiver is the way to go. If anyone out there wants something inconspicuous (i.e. Bose but with way better sound) Best Buy has a 5.1 Boston Acoustics micro-speaker set for $399 this week. I listened to them earlier this year at another specialty retailer and they're actually pretty good for such small speakers.

Richmond Midnight Madness specials: http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/store/richmond/offers
Coquitlam Midnight Madness specials: http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/store/coquitlam/offers

If I didn't have plans tonight, I'd head out to one of the stores have grab a 99 cent meatball dinner. Yes, 99 cents for 10 meatballs and mash. Ikea does not have specials on Boxing Day.

Zellers also has a midnight madness thing going on. They have a Sony 40" 1080P LCD for 500 bucks. Sale sarts at 6 PM.

I'm hoping that we have an insider here on RS that can leak the flyers.

Well, there's always someone who manages to get in and usually, he's nice enough to post a screen cap so you can at least decide if you want to hit the site a couple of hours later.

I used to work at a paper printing company last year. and the flyers are ready and made usually at the start of december. I currently dont work there anymore so no flyers.
used to just buy the stuff before boxing day and then go after boxing day and just do price adjustment :troll:

I can't wait. I am probably going to the hobby stores, LOL. 20% to 25% off is good.

I was so pumped up about the last sale Imperial Hobbies had, but in the three months I've been shopping around, I have come to realize that the mark up at Imperial Hobbies is so high that 30% off would still make their stuff more expensive than at other shops. Example: a Tamiya 1/350 IJN Mogami is selling for $250.00 at Imperial Hobbies. The same model sells for $150.00 at two other hobby shops. WTH? One of the other shops is having a 20% off Boxing Day sale. Guess where I'm going? Not going to Imperial, unless they have like a 50% off sale. Sheesh.

Last Year's NCIX boxing day sale was pretty lame, IIRC. Hopefully this year will be better.

oh yes. I forgot theres a hobby store @ barnet highway @ poco i believe.. its near the west coast express station.. and the cop station...

edit// here you go.

http://maps.google.ca/maps?q=port+mo...333.21,,1,5.82

on-track hobbies. went there once.. they have quite a bit of stuff.

I spoke too soon re: flyers.

Someone has posted Future Shop Boxing Day flyer scans on SmartCanucks.ca

http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/171945-...-flyer-canada/

The flyer is from Atlantic Canada, but the prices should be the same here.

LOL, you forgot about the other thread. I've been to On Track. Nice, old dude runs the place. They were also at the Vancouver IPMS Fall Show.

I have yet to go to the hobby Shop at Union Square. Are they still open?

Thanks for the advice, yet my hearing isn't good enough to notice the difference, especially in my small condo.

I want the convenience of being able to add the S-AIR option for wireless rear speakers. The Sync feature is a nice bonus.

Plus buying speakers and amp separately is typically twice as much as these in-a-box sets, even when on sale since the box sets go on sale too :)

meh, ncix sales are terrible, not worth the wait, it's maybe couple more bucks off their weekly sales or thousands of Mail in rebate crap, omg 9.99! after $40 MIR!

I was waiting for cyber monday deals and that was uber waste of time. lol 9 items and sale went on 4 or so hours late.
