Brotherhood of Steel are a MAJOR part of the Fallout plot, in all the games.
Oh I know, I’ve played every game
I’m moreso speaking to someone who has no insight into the fallout universe there is very little build up or back story in the show to explain who they are

I think with the show, it's not catered to newbies, it seems it's expected you already know the lore, and understand the background of the series and major parties.

I never play Fallout. Finished watching Season 1 over the weekend.
don't know what the shit is going on.
I only ever played Fallout 3 so while I don't have the full history I learned enough from that one game to understand mostly what's going on in the show. They nailed it pretty well looking forward to another season.

never played the games either, i thought it was an entertaining series.
no clue if it follows the game's story
It follows the game's setting, but not the story, that's all new. A few things in the world were changed; nothing that matters though. Hardcore nerds are mad, but who cares.
Zhang Yimou si the famous director ( who filmed The Great Wall - matt damon)
House of Flying Daggers, Cliff Walkers, The Flowers of War etc.
Drama for China gov't, prosecution and law makers type movie; the script was decent with 3 stories inter-twined together. The final monologue was legit, guy must have had a 10 pager to memorize.
How do you fight for justice when you accidentally hit the guy in the mean time, how do you break up a fight when bullying is happening - but then get charged for assult.. such ethical question back in china which was only focused on black and white.
90% of the time there is no jury, and only based on gov't police.
All in all, it's a long 180 min movie, with decent pacing....it starts of a bit rushed but ended well. Very legit cases going thru people's lives pushed to their limit.
One life, based in 1987 - true story.
I've seen MEMEs of this so it was really cool on how htey made a story. We didn't clue in until the end.
Anthony H plays a NY guy who tries to save women / children from Germans and taking them out of Prague. Saving one life after another. Won't ruin it for you, but legit based on a real story movie.
Story wasn't as tense as i thought but nonetheless, he played well as his age.
I did like Anthony H in The Father (2020) much better than this; mainly cause of the script.
As a wrestling fan, particularly of Japanese women's wrestling and historical wrestling, this was an awesome show for me. For non wrestling fans, I think it would make for a compelling J-drama. But you have to be ok with J-drama stuff.
They basically treat the wrestling and storylines like they are real, so it's more drama than docudrama, but a lot of her background is true, like her drunk abusive dad inspiring her to be a wrestler by wishing she could kill him, and the kohai/senpai system and the bullying that comes with it, etc.
I thought it was weird at first, until I realized that this method basically puts you in the mindset of an 80's wrestling fan, and despite what people say, these people absolutely thought this stuff was real. Since the show treats it like it's real, like any fiction show you can suspend disbelieve and treat it that way too, so the storylines are actually really compelling, and the action is exciting.
Man that brings back powerful memories of being in Grade 7 classroom and half the boys in the classroom literally getting into a fistfight about whether wrestling was real or not hahaha seems so stupid nowadays but we really did believe

Plenty of people knew it was fake going all the way back to the carnival days in the late 1800s, but enough believed it was legit to keep the facade going, up until WWF got huge in the late 90's. After that, they stopped bothering, although certain parts are still "kayfabe"

when you say stopped bothering to pretend to be legit this came to mind

Fake or not, some of those matches like hell in a cell with mankind vs undertaker or those ladder matched with the Dudley boys etc. like fake or not, that shit was crazy lol

Vince McMahon documentary is worth watching if the only version of WWE's history you know about is their version. Unlike the fake WWE and A&E and Vice docs, they actually call out bullshit. It leads to some pretty entertaining moments
If you already know the deal, then only episode 2 and 6 are worth watching
Episode 6 is a must watch, and was added to the series after the sex trafficking lawsuit against Vince and WWE came out
Really enjoyed Rings of Power, that’s a high quality production right there.
Hopefully they get renewed for another season because it’s really just going to pick up and the upcoming storylines have never really been covered by anything. But I fear the viewership won’t be there for it to continue
