In order for you to receive your credit, they will have to visit our site from your referral link, and register for a free account.

Once they registered their account and verified their email, you will see the $5 in your account!

FWIW, some of my referrals are missing also. Some show up, but some are indeed missing.

We track the referrals by placing a cookie in their browser.

If they don't have cookies enabled, then we won't be able to track.

Other than that, it should be working correctly.

Could explain some of them, but for one sign up I was at a friend's house in person and they certainly had cookies enabled.

I just noticed that Groupon offers $10 for each referral. Any chance you guys will be matching that anytime soon?

I saw that too, but you only get $10 if they sign under your name and actually buy their first groupon.

not to mention the fact that shitloads of people already have a groupon account, and unlike the daily steal, it would be extremely hard to get new referrals

Yes basically everyone is giving out credits when your referral buy the first deal.

What we are trying to do here is to give something out to everyone, a bit less, but hopefully more people will be hearing about us!
