no one for Hundred Days?

RCubed 01-11-2011 01:13 AM

Gonna do:
Keg
Nyala
Joe Forte
Le Bistro de Paris.
:)

Obsideon 01-11-2011 07:06 PM

I went to Nyala for regular dining ... wasn't impressed ... so I don't know if it's suppose to be better during Dineout or worse ... I hope they got better since!

RCubed 01-11-2011 07:51 PM

^It seemed interesting so we went ahead with booking it. Never had African Cuisine before. :)

BlackZRoadster 01-12-2011 02:44 PM

none of the restaurants i booked were full, i was surprised i got 4 of the restaurants that get sold out.

Gonna do Joe Fortes, Water St Cafe and Keg.

Bacchus is fabulous but the menu didn't really appeal to me this year.

^ for Dineout or regular? I went for regular dining before and it was really good!

Cereal Killer 01-12-2011 06:26 PM

Made reservations for The Keg in Burnaby so far. For those who aren't aware, The Keg has both a $28 and a $38 menu for Dine Out with differences occuring only in the entrees.

Also added Cloud 9 to the list.

Cereal Killer 01-12-2011 06:32 PM

Also wanted to ask, does everyone sitting at the table have to order from the Dine Out menu or is mixing of menus allowed?

miss_crayon 01-12-2011 06:51 PM

^I don't think you have to follow everyone else if you want to order menu. I went to la terreza a couple years ago with 3 gfs and one of them ordered from the reg menu. Different restos might have different rules but I don't think it's an issue.

Can you make online reservations for dineout or do you have to call them in person?

I'm looking at Mistral and Don Francesco right now

k3lv 01-12-2011 11:33 PM

you can make them online

For $28 you get an appetizer + Prime Rib + Dessert, I wonder how big the Prime Rib is..does anyone know? If it's regular size then that's a pretty good deal :) If not then :(

I work there. its the small PR

hirevtuner 01-13-2011 10:08 AM

I've had the Omega at the Richmond Keg numerous times. the price is ~$40. I've never been able to finish the steak and the sides, but have finished just the steak a few times.
