Got called for an Interview today, but I turned it down. You need to work a minimum 25 hours? Don't have time for that with a Full-Time job already :/

Friendly tip from a person who is part of recruting | Good rule to go by, but from what I gather (from various ppl who have asked the recruiter), they said to dress casual.
I dressed up but I don't think it makes a difference in this case.

^unless you have explicit instructions directly from the recruiter to dress casual, you should always dress to impress.
In today's economy, there is a lot of over qualified people looking for sub par jobs.
There is always someone who is more skilled, more experienced, better qualified than you.
When you first approach the interviewer, your clothing is part of first impressions. First impressions mean a lot in interviews. Don't let anyone tell you different.

I got a phone interview for an enumerator job today. I applied for the supervisor position so i naturally asked why I wasn't given the opportunity for it and he said that the positions are all filled already. He claimed it was on a first come first serve basis haha, cause I said that there was no way I could have failed that 'test'.
anyways those four scenario with privacy and work ethics. I don't even want the job as it would be lower paying than what i already have lolol

Just got a call from a crew leader for training next Friday but can't make it due to my current work schedule.
The guy was nice and put me into the next training session that might happen sometime in June. I told him that I am only interested in working evenings and weekends and he's totally cool with that.
So they are calling up people to work!

I think there's a pool of successful candidate that these crew leader receives. Posted via RS Mobile |

I did the test today and it was pretty logical but I only had 30min to finish it which made it even more stressing. Some math, english comprehension, nothing a person with a average education can't handle. 1 question stumped me though, something about money reimbursment so I had to guess that one.
A bunch of C-lai's and some foreign people were at the test which made me really want to hard and they couldn't seem to keep up with the instructions. We were instructed to bring our references and 2 guys in front of me that I can see clearly, one guy used a small piece of scrap paper - Asian male in his 20's and looked like he came from China, and some other guy used the scrap paper for the test to write his. I was saying "Oh jesus" in my head the whole time. The rest I couldn't see behind me, but I don't think the 2 China females were any better.

Got a call just now, but I already found a minimum wage paying job that promises long hours with no break and little to no commodity so how can I say yes to this.

Yeah, I got a call today from another crew leader again.
Training is on May 13th but I just started my career job so I can't take 2 days off for training. Let's see what they will do. I told them evenings and weekends, they are fine with that. I don't care about the money, just want the experience. Posted via RS Mobile |

Were you interviewed on the same day as well? Or were you there for just the test? I was told that I should be prepared to stay for two hours. That seems like a lot of time, if it's just for the test.

^1 hour tops. Half hour for instructions and paperwork like forms and such then another half for the test. We probably took longer than normally with the people that couldn't get the instructions right.
Questions are not really difficult, they are mostly questions that give you lets say, a legend with symbols, then you need to decipher then comparing them to information they give you. Not that hard really, just need to think outside the box and know how to understand the question as fast as possible.
No interview because they will be marking it, then doing a phone interview 2 weeks later if you passed and chosen. So just the test. And side note, I guess at least dress "business casual" even though its just a test. Honestly I think it makes a little impression difference when you walk into the office and see other people working there or people around you that will be doing the test. Jeans and a t shirt is alright if you really want to, but when I did the test, it kindof didn't give off a good intelligent impression seeing other people do that. It's always better to overdress than to underdress even if you stand out because in this case, it's positive.
Oh yea...for me I wore the usual dress pants and shirt, formal shoes, a sweater, and a formal looking yet casual jacket. I guess it's not too formal or too casual so it was what I liked best
