what is the deal with people buying RR?.....sure they look very premium and classy with great interiors. However, handling sucks, power is marginal (even with SC), reliability is poor (don't tell me you don't have any electrical issues), and worst of all, resale is the absolute worst of any premium SUV. Lose 50% of value in 2 yrs. No thanks.

Any true car enthusiast would not touch a RR, not even a second hand one for $50K. Only consumers that want treat cars as a badge or fashion statement would buy a RR....if I was going to spend $100K+ on a SUV, the Porsche Cayenne or X5M would be a much more rewarding drive from a driver enthusiast standpoint.

True, a Range is pure poseur mobile IMO. Fine for chicks though, kinda like C4S's, so our resident RR is safe from my trolling.

I totally agree, they look awesome, especially when a hot chick is driving one, but not enough reason to buy one....

Do you drive or used to drive a z3 z3guy?

I heard those weren't really good resell too and had issues themselves. Handling and power wasn't even good in it's time compared to other roadsters out there.

yep I did drive one....and yes they were a piece of shit...handling was the shits, felt like a wet noodle...power was OK...to address these shortcomings I SC it, spent over $8K on the susp & chassis braces and it still performed like a POS.......bad purchase on my part, worst bimmer I ever owned....damn those Bond movies!!!

I think you answered your own question....if you buy a car, even a daily driver based on style vs driving dynamics, you just bought a poseur car

yes the non supercharged version is weak and I would never buy it.

huge reliability issues? Never had a single issue with mine and I drive pretty damn aggressive.

resale? who cares? don't have the money to lose then don't buy one or go buy a used one from the guy that doesn't care about losing 50k!

You are a very fortunate guy with great vehicles.......that is great you don't mind pissing away money....you must be a baller, but I don't care how rich or poor you are, pissing away money is pissing away money....I'd rather do other things with my cash. When you earn your own cash you have a different perspective.

you are right, nothing looks better than a blk RR SC, especially with nice 22s or 24s, but buying a car for looks = poseur
