Revscene does NOT condone such actions. We ask that all meet attendees obey all rules/laws of the road while arriving to the meet, at the meet and on their way home. We have a great working relationship with the local police and we certainly do not want to ruin that by allowing such activities at our meets.

Those Spanish Bank meet burnout videos on youtube were from events organized by other car clubs. The only incident at a Revscene Spring Meet I can recall is this

Question:

I went on youtube and watched a few RS Spring Meets people made videos of just to see what it was like and this will be my first time attending. I noticed there was one where there was a bunch of mustangs doing burnouts in the parking lot, literally 5 feet or so away from people/cars.

Is this condoned by RS meet or something? I don't want to have some retard doing a burnout 5 feet away from my car and sling rocks/crash into anything/anyone, then attracted police to give everyone there a hard time.

Is this just an isolated incident with a few dumb-asses?

LOL i just went and read through that entire thread. so amazing, hands down one of the best threads i've seen on here, and i've seen some great threads

there was another incident at the most recent meet @ nightmarket where one guys car (he owns a shop IIRC) got rock chips and some other stuff after some dumbass in a truck decided to do a burn out in front of it or something

IMO i'm glad police are usually in attendance at the RS meets. keeps the dumbasses away and let's us non idiotic folk have fun

also i watched that vid that was buried in that thread where some dumbass in an mr2 decides to be a dipshit and do a burnout (a fail one) and launches over the curb and smashes into somebodys jetta at some car meet. i'm surprised nobody beat the shit out of that guy right there on the spot actually

if ANY dumbass is caught doing anything stupid like burnouts, vandalizing cars or anything idiotic we will turn you over to the police...

the meets are meant to be for everyone to get together in a safe and controlled environment to share in a mutual love of cars and get to know one another :)

if you're one of the losers who decided to do a burnout at the end of this past summer meet please do us the courtesy and stay home, unless you have matured since then.

i imagine it'd be pretty easy with everybody's hoods popped. just make it seem like you're in the right place and that the car is yours

bunch of assholes showing up to rs meets all the time :(

that's why we gotta look out for one another. If you notice something that seems shady report it. Try and pay attention to who owns the car next to you if you can and while you're around your car pay attention to your neighbours ride.... This applies to everyone :) not just kt. For the most part there are A LOT of good members on this site, but every now and then you do get a shady douchebag.

Glove 03-09-2011 07:41 AM

just dont pop your hood

european 03-09-2011 07:59 AM

I agree. I'll keep my eye out but I do want to take as many photos as possible.
I'll just pop open my hood for a few minutes then close it while I walk around. Kind of defeats the purpose of showing off your engine bay. Even though there isn't much to look at....

subwoffers 03-09-2011 09:45 AM

RS meets are starting to sound like open invitations all you can eat buffet for thieves.

baggdis300 03-09-2011 10:24 AM

and thats why you keep your doors/windows/hoods/trunks CLOSED

european 03-09-2011 10:43 AM

Fine... I'll keep everything closed and LOCKED. It's not fun though :(

What exactly would that do?

Glove 03-09-2011 11:11 AM

so they dont get your lisence plate number and find out where you live / park your car?

people from surrey walkin around with clipboards jotting down plate numbers

subwoffers 03-09-2011 11:16 AM

Man, it's prob a better idea to just not go...

na man, its actually a really good time,

you just gotta use your brain,

if you got something to show under your hood/inside, chat some people up before you show them,

you can tell who the theives and shady people are, its obvious.

but when you leave your car to check out other rides, definitly close up shop before you do

- kT 03-09-2011 11:31 AM

yeah you shouldn't let some assholes ruin your fun. as RS grows, there's gonna be more and more thieves and assholes that come just to steal shit, or be idiots and try to be cool by doing burnouts and ripping it through the parking lot. all you can do is be vigilant for yourself as well as for others. like jufes said, if you're by your car, open everything up. when you leave to go walk around, close your windows, trunk and hood and lock your car

you wouldn't leave your car with your hood popped and windows wide open in a store parking lot, just because it's a car meet with a lot of people shouldn't make it any different. if anything it should make you be more vigilant and careful

european 03-09-2011 01:24 PM

Ah man, this means I gotta drill some holes for my JDM and Mugen license plates so no one will steal those as well as I always just used double sided tape. lol.

european 03-09-2011 02:45 PM

I'll be there shooting a ton of photos... Someone better start a Spring meet picture thread. haha
