When Mr. Nolan's "The Dark Knight Rises" opens July 20, it will contain the most IMAX footage ever for a Hollywood feature, more than one hour's worth. There were 40 minutes of such footage in 2008's "The Dark Knight"—which set box-office records in its opening weekend. IMAX's summer slate also includes potential blockbusters "The Avengers," "The Amazing Spider-Man," "Men in Black 3," Tim Burton's gothic comedy "Dark Shadows," and Ridley Scott's 3-D "Prometheus." Mr. Nolan's film was the only one shot using IMAX cameras; the others were converted using IMAX's technology.

Ahhh I can't wait! In a recent article Nolan mentions that the ending in this film is unchanged from the ending he already envisioned when he was starting the 1st Batman. You just can't go wrong with Nolan I'm expecting another epic movie.

DanHibiki 06-01-2012 08:03 PM

^actually it was fall 2008. So the 2nd batman.

yogenfruz 06-02-2012 11:22 AM

I'm really excited for the movie and curious the ending, I want to see if Nolan takes the direction I've heard rumors of.
Spoiler!

I'm not sure how I feel about Anne Hathaway playing Catwoman. She's cute but so far Michelle Pfeiffer played a sweet Catwoman.

Can't wait!!

Tickets should be available on movietickets.com, cineplex.com doesn't even seem to have any information on it. I can't remember the exact time but I think it was 8AM or 9AM PT.

In Australia, the IMAX website crashed because so many people were opening multiple browsers to buy tickets.

twitchyzero 06-11-2012 11:48 AM

i checked both sites and only langley has advance tix.
settled for scotiabank dt for the midnight show instead :okay:

I got my Midnight Showing Imax Tickets for Langley..

Ya.. Going to be a good night.

Destephicon 06-13-2012 04:38 PM

I don't mind Anne Hathaway as Catwoman. However, I'm not digging her Cat suit. Looks extremely cheesy compared to the Dark Kight. I thought it would've been cooler like the Catwoman from Arkham Asylum 2.

yogenfruz 06-13-2012 05:19 PM

I don't think the Arkham City outfit would have worked in real life. It looked way too restrictive.
