I went with the wife, was sort of quiet but I'm sure it picked up later on in the night. It's like a smaller indoor night market with less stuff. Fun enough for an evening i suppose.

Don't know if this post is too late. I went today and IMO it was a waste of money.

Nothing much to see at all (You can finish walking all the booths in 30min) and there were so few food vendors (more expensive than night market price)

It maybe okay if you are planning on watching Gary sings tonight.

It's basically just an indoor night market

spoon.ek9 02-04-2013 03:58 PM

did anyone else witness the debacle just before concert for that Justin guy? hahah it was fucking hilarious, i couldn't stop laughing.

also, the expo seemed pretty dead. not a whole lot worth looking at in the booths.

hirevtuner 02-09-2013 03:53 PM

Kidnapman 02-09-2013 03:56 PM

Fuck thats nasty. I don't care what kinda tradition it is but if it gets in the way of personal hygiene then fuck it.:heckno:

Durrann 02-09-2013 04:02 PM

It's just one day of no showering relax lol

fliptuner 02-09-2013 04:17 PM

No bathing, dusting, sweeping or washing and no haircuts or nail cutting for 1 day.

Jason00S2000 02-09-2013 04:26 PM

I want to go to dinner at one of those chinese restaurants with tables for like 16 peeps where they have those carosels of food in the middle.

Last time I went with asians to a dinner like that, I sampled like 14 different dishes and only 1 was too nasty looking to try. Chicken feet, if I remember. Damn I love chinese food.

Iceman_2K 02-09-2013 04:31 PM

Restaurants are going to be packed for the next few days until the 15th of the lunar calendar.

never heard of that, ever :crazy2:

twitchyzero 02-09-2013 07:34 PM

i think overtime different cultures develop their own supersitions of lunar new year.

ie. making sure you have left overs after a big feast...because it's homonymous with the word 'spring' in a certain dialect

also heard one where you are supposed to stay up tonight if you want your parents to live long lives :ahwow:

Happy new year RS!

Really? It's very common. In fact every year I go out on CNY day, you smell a lot of sweaty heads. Maybe it's because I'm taller than everyone :heckno:

Durrann 02-09-2013 07:41 PM
