so chinese new years is up right before v-day, so whats everyones plans (besides the obivous spending time with family)

very interested in how non-chinese folks celebrate chinese new year

I believe non-chinese folks go to Chinatown to watch the Chinese New Year Parade with ton of lion dancing and firecacker noises.

i had a few non chinese friend that celebrate chinese years cuz they wanna learn about the cultures & stuff like that cuz they live in richmond where theres lots of chinese

sorry if u dun understand this, & yes i live in richmond is that a problem

yeah heard some dumbass today saying they were going to eat some mooncakes.

and I thought Japanese folks don't celebrate lunar new year..but they don't give out envelopes to the kids on Jan 1??

yeah just wiki'd it and they stopped doing it with the lunar new year after 1873
