Most Iphone users do better on a Storm II or a Torch.

Bold 9700 is the newer Bold 2 with the touchpad.

I used to have the old Bold 9000 for work, and disliked that one even more since it was so fat.

lolol anyone use whatsapp for iphone? its like bbm and just cross platforms with android, bb, etc, its a pretty sick app imo :P

noholo 02-01-2011 07:16 PM

All you do on a blackberry is text, IM, call and email basically. BB's are good for business, or if you're a busy person. I personally own an iPhone 4. I don't need to carry an mp3 player and a phone, and I can do so much on the iphone for fun. I still think Blackberrys are dope though, wouldn't mind owning both :).

Yeah whatsapp is dope. Most of the people who argue blackberries are better than iphone say cause of bbm. Whatsapp is way better cause its cross platform to any smartphone, unlike bbm only being specific to blackberries. Maybe im just a biased iphone fan boy :) (owned all 4 gens).

cliffhanger33 02-01-2011 07:20 PM

yeah exactly i personally think bb's are pretty sick , but i guess iphones are more friendly and hv better UI in a way. Bb's are efficient tho, iphone is more vast only coz it has jailbreak which literally allows u to do ANYTHING

lol yeah im a pretty biased iphone 4 fan boy too but i try not to be biased lOL all the bb buddies crap on me when i diss them LOLOL
yeah exactly, whatsapp is pretty sick, it does everything BBM does , such as voice notes, free pic sending, vid sending etc

yeah that's the usual "argument" - that bb's are for the business person and iphones are more for when you want to have some fun. it makes sense too, BB is good for communicating via bbm, email, etc.

however i love that everything is on the iphone, just one touch away. ipod, gps, endless amounts of all types of games, etc. i traded phones with my gf for about a week (she has a bold 9700 and i have an iphone4) and i couldn't wait to get my own phone back. after she gave my phone back she said she wanted to trade again, for a longer period of time :P

Yeah blackberries are nice, but since I'm not a rich mufukah I can only own one phone atm ahaha. Otherwise i'd alternate between a bold 9780 and iphone 4 =) and maybe an android too.

yeah holy crap tomtom gps on iphone is sick , the UI is amazing and I love HD youtube and the retina resolution.
but srsly samsung is competing with iphone , theyre release on the galaxy was already comparable with iphone 4 (in specs only imo :) ) but did u hear about their new samsung release? Samsung Infuse 4g
http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_infu...-news-2194.php
its like beyond retina display, Super AMOLED technology. Hummingbird CPU, clocked at 1.2 GHz. The handset runs on Android 2.2 (Froyo) Two cameras have also been updated and the Infuse 4G now packs an 8 megapixel primary snapper and a 1.3 megapixel secondary unit (that camera destroys iphone ). LOL i wonder how iphone will compete with that

!Aznboi128 02-01-2011 07:30 PM

I got 9700 and iPhone4. I use my bb cause it's easier to txt and I got a bunch of friends on bbm and on bbm you can have "groups" of chats which is much better then what's app. I carry both phones, but the iPhone only comes out for camera/games when bored the rest of the time it's berry. Surprisingly I like the browser on the berry more cause it's faster... For me anyways.

LOL damn carrying both phones at once? Could just get an ipod touch 4g but I guess the camera would be lacking, the new bold 9780 also has a better camera I think. When I owned a bold 9700 the browser was pretty slow, but that was os 4 or 5, not the new os 6.

Yeah it might look good on the stat sheet but I think it all comes down to user experience, iOS vs android, and its tough to compete with iphone's jailbreaking community. Doesn't samsung make the screens for iphone? im not surprised they're holding out on the super good shiet for their own phones :)

!Aznboi128 02-01-2011 07:43 PM

^ problem with the 9780 is the camera still sucks. Lol and iphone 4 cost less 149 comparing to whatever a ipod touch is.

$149 but ur still paying for two plans :P:P

!Aznboi128 02-01-2011 07:46 PM

A berry plan is cheap about 20 bucks a month it's not that bad.

noholo 02-01-2011 07:47 PM

Lol I guess so, but its $149 cause its on a 3 year contract. Are you on contract for both? does that mean you got 2 phone numbers? ahah 1 for the broads and one for business

cliffhanger33 02-01-2011 07:48 PM

u srs ? lOL i guess that wud be another plus, bb's plans are better, ilke unlimited social networking, iphone plans dont hv that, but they hv a sick deal at fido for iphone 6 gb 3g data network 25 bux a month (which was same price for 500mb data before)

!Aznboi128 02-01-2011 07:52 PM

Bb plan for 20 bucks and iphone's about 50 it adds up but it works better overall. But I might go back to 1 plan soon as one of the plans I took over for my parents.

i wasn't willing to pitch 49.99 for gps (even though it's half the price of a real gps - and does anybody know how the "real" gps apps run? on data like the other apps?) - i've just been using the free mapquest app, but it's more then enough. i've used it for work a few times to deliver some parts and it's gotten me to some pretty hidden places

Are you just talking about the 6gb data plan that Rogers and fido offer for $30/month?

the 'REAL' gps does not run in data, it runs in GPS built in on ur iPhone, so its free in every way.
Map quest still requires 3g / wifi network, the tomtom gps app does not require anything, u can turn off all data network and wifi and it still works (i tested it , works 100%)
:)

StylinRed 02-02-2011 04:04 AM
