better keyboard and swype = win
like i said before you can type faster with one finger than a bb user with their thumbs with swype.
and voice keyboard really kicks ass and i never had a mistake with it yet..

and on android you can swipe down the notifications from the taskbar. you can also have notification flashes like the blackberry.
also you can have everything in widgets on the homescreen unlike iOS where all the apps are cluttered and all you can hide the apps in are folders

i really hate how badges sometimes show up late on the iphone and i hate finding the little bubbles on the top corner of the apps if you have badges or notifications disabled.

android market isnt as big as app store but i sometimes like android market more cause anyone can make the apps unlike apple where they reject some useful apps and most importantly, ADD ONS!! therefore android market doesnt completely suck when compared to app store.. android games arnt that bad either.

a con to androids is that they are more snappy than smooth if you know what i mean. sometimes they look like they are lagging but when you put a iphone side by side while the android looks like its "lagging" the iphone runs a animation which makes it look "smooth" when you tap open a app.

so my conclusion is

iPhone = best in media. if they had a better notification system and if they had widgets im sure it will be a much better phone. hopefully apple lets developers release add ons in the future? but i doubt they will.

android = good for chatting and very good for daily use. too bad battery and phone itself isnt better and if rooted and your rom isnt perfect, its pretty unreliable. but otherwise if android market had an app store like apple i would pick android anyday.

bb= good for email and chatting i guess.. i think im lucky cause i have never had lag on the bold interface.. alot of people complain that the interface lags alot.. i only had that on the torch lol

i conclude that android > all as much as i love the iphone.. after i had a talk with people on overclock.net these few days i started to miss android lol. i hated android at first before i installed custom roms.. the original roms sucks.. takes up so much space on the phone and lags the phone. which gives iphone fanboys a chance to say that android sucks.

myWI is by far the best 3g sharing app for the iOS.

does usb/bluetooth/wifi tethering

and unlike all the other tethering app it actually works as a wifi hotspot meaning you can connect more than 1 device to it.

Teh Doucher 02-03-2011 10:25 PM

app that allows an ipod/iphone to work with blackberry data via bluetooth...

BB + itouch ftw!

Teh Doucher 02-03-2011 10:34 PM

also lol @ these paragraph responses. all it comes down to is this OP, what do you want to use your phone for? if you want one of the best devices available for communicating, you buy a bb. if you want something thats more entertainment oriented, buy the iphone.

true, pricewise i think iphone is pretty worth it too, for what u get out of it

swype might be faster, but it still requires you to look at the screen. I can type without looking - which really comes in handy. No physical keyboard is as good as the one on a blackberry - even the few Android Phones that one.

I'm really attracted to Android because of all the crazy add ons you can get for it... Can you edit the auto-correct on it just like a blackberry? My friend basically put so much shorthand into his auto-correct, he types insanely fast. I've slowly added things into there.

Apple = American
RIM = Canadian

American businesses > Canadian businesses, at least on average.

I would gladly take scrollable widgets, customization, developer roms, live wallpapers, and cloud over BBM or Square Icons anyday.

illicitstylz 02-04-2011 07:05 AM

it's true, i personally go through a lot of phones, been symbian/bb/android.

loved bb, but had to try android because of the customization, dev support etc. as fun as it was during the two months i had it, it all became a novelty to "customize" to that extent, there wasn't a real need for it.

IMO, i'd take messaging/email/bbm'ing with my social network over fancy icons and mods to my phones.

turning it off doesn't fix it....

ilvtofu 02-07-2011 11:13 PM

I've been using that user dictionary thing for about a week and must say it works great, I literally went through damn you auto correct to look for some words I might've forgotten

zzz -> xxx was one I just added 5 mins ago

I highly recommend taking the time to do this as it saves headache, I don't recommend turning off auto correct though, it actually helps a lot 70% of the time lol
