orange7 02-06-2011 02:39 AM

am I the only one who thinks this is dumb?

Anjew 02-06-2011 04:19 AM

overpriced FIT?

Culverin 02-06-2011 05:52 AM

I'm almost certain this project started off as a drunken bet.

heleu 02-06-2011 06:23 AM

Ultimate sleeper? This car has more interior space than the S-Class.

ilvtofu 02-06-2011 08:23 AM

^depends how you measure it, legroom is no where near s class level, and I've extensively driven the B class and comfort-wise it's way towards the toyota matrix side of the spectrum.

The whole B55 thing isn't really that amazing especially knowing that it's a mercedes it probably won't be more reliable than what custom hot rodders have been doing with american econoboxes for years.

jpark 02-06-2011 08:56 AM

looks like it will haul ass though lol

Kalize 02-06-2011 09:07 AM

If its not overpriced and doesn't have the CVT i'd take one.

since it has become FR and driving the rear wheels I'm sure it's the 7speed that gets shoved in there.

Engine from the 550 benz's...should be called the B550

Mugen EvOlutioN 02-06-2011 10:23 AM

weak

5.5L should get you at least 450hp +

shenmecar 02-06-2011 10:36 AM

good thing its a prototype, cuz no one in their right minds would buy this.

Although i am surprised they can fit a V8 in there.

donjalapeno 02-06-2011 11:03 AM

i think its cool, wouldnt buy it though. Always had a soft spot for the B-Klasse

satek 02-06-2011 12:48 PM

388hp is plenty for such a light car.....

BEEB 02-06-2011 02:20 PM

5.7 hemi = 390 hp and that is in cars that are much heavier.....believe me 390 hp is still enough and much more than a honda even after vtec has kicked in yo.

any engine is capable of putting out numbers like this for horsepower but there is also reliability to worry about.

CP.AR 02-06-2011 07:33 PM

holy shit pocket rocket much?
