I think so, It looks like all 4 wheels of Vettel's car was off the track when he passed Button.

Vancouver240sx 03-31-2011 01:21 PM

I agree, I don't think he had any intention on making the exit of the corner but knew there was a huge runoff area.

I thought the stewards were going to crack down on it this year. What is the difference between what Vettel did to get around Button vs Button overtaking Massa?

I've always wished there was on option to watch the whole race from the OBCs from the driver of your choice

Hmm I actually enjoyed the commentary. Yes Coulthard has a bias towards Red Bull, but that is part of the fun... because we know next week Eddie Jordan is gonna call him out on it... I can't wait :fullofwin:

Meowjin 04-01-2011 03:33 AM

I enjoyed the commentary too. I don't want to hear about track positions. I do agree that he should be a bit more less biased towards rb/mb but you know EJ is gonna blast him for it.

But, EJ didn't really call out DC on the post race forum.

SkinnyPupp 04-01-2011 05:17 AM

I don't think EJ will accuse him of bias, but after seeing replays throughout the 2 weeks, I bet he'll bring it up in some entertaining way :)

I do like Brundle's PBP, it is SO much more energetic than Legard's.

Maybe, yet it would at least challenge them to try new technology, rather than these standardized cars we have today. Its getting to be too much like Indy and Nascar.

Faint buzz after faint buzz, fantastic!

Have you been to a race? I've sat in the grandstands in Montreal, it is LOUD! Deafening loud. Its fantastic for the first few laps, yet wears on you.

I have not been to a live F1 race, but I have been to many other racing events such as Indys & top fuel drags. I never get tired of hearing horsepower in the form of controlled explosions.

Quiet electric cars whizzing by would be extremely boring and would seem slow. The sound adds to the perception of their immense speed.

Pure bad-assery! Everyone else is just gay looking compared to this:

you know I never knew why people complained about EJ. I always thought he was funny and he had balls to chase after people to get an interview.

I like Eddie Jordan as a pundit. He provides color. Sure he's pretty emotional sometimes, but it's a good counterbalance to say, Brundle, who is somewhat dryer in comparison.

Incidentally, what do you all think of Brundle doing PbP? I think he's better off as a color man. I always loved his insight from the analyst's chair which he has to hold off on, from the PbP chair. Coulthardt is... unspectacular.

StylinRed 04-09-2011 02:46 AM

bah... Schumi... -_-

and damn MercedesGP thought they could be competitive this year.. but it looks like Red Bull/Mclaren are just heads n tails ahead of everyone

Blinky 04-09-2011 11:36 AM

Schumi's over the hill. He's only good for entertainment in the greyhair division, which he shares with Barrichello.

Doods at Renault have to be excited, putting both cars in Q3. I still can't help but wonder what Kubica would be doing in their car. Kubica + quick Renault + gorgeous livery = :fullofwin:

StylinRed 04-10-2011 01:17 AM

damn the malaysian track is filthy

i wouldnt say he's over the hill his car is a factor and he's performing okay this season in comparo with rosberg

HonestTea 04-10-2011 02:08 AM

Good Job Jenson Button! :)

SkinnyPupp 04-11-2011 09:54 AM

That was a fun race!

Petrov went flying :lol

All those rubber bits look dangerous in a way.. Probably caused a few of the incidents

was it ever determined if the steering column broke and casued the accident or the steering column broke becasue of the impact from the accident??

only 4 more days to China Qualifying :)

SkinnyPupp 04-11-2011 10:12 AM

You could tell from the cockpit view that it was the impact of the landing that caused the wheel to break.
