Give it time. Watching him, he is starting to get his feel back. Looking a lot like the old Schumi we all once knew. I hope he can pull of a few podiums this year and get himself in a fast car for next year. Then he will be unstoppable. Can't win when your car is shit.

StylinRed 06-13-2011 09:49 PM

well it sounds like he's extending his contract with the team

but even schumi says due to biology he wont be able to stand up to the younger guys :/

and wow i thought barrichello was older than schumi lol

StylinRed 06-25-2011 04:23 AM

damn Schumi is doing awesome in qualifying this round with engine mapping locked for qualifying and the race

hope he keeps it up for Q2 and Q3 although he is on the Options

edit: awww it was like he predicted

Meowjin 06-26-2011 03:32 AM

he actually made q3! lol

Great68 06-26-2011 07:28 PM

Snoozefest race this week.

denham 06-26-2011 07:45 PM

Yeah, wasn't great was it... Awesome job by Vettel once again, and I suppose Hamilton needs congratulating for not running in to anyone this time round ;) But rather short on action...

HonestTea 06-27-2011 10:19 PM

Holy fuck! Valencia was boring as hell and Vettel leading the race from start to finish didn't help..

So it's official, 1.6L Turbo V6 motors for 2014. Now I HAVE to go to a race next year, I don't want to miss hearing 18,000rpm motors in person.

FIA confirms 1.6 turbo engines for 2014 29 Jun 2011

The FIA, motorsport’s governing body, has confirmed that Formula One racing will move to new engine regulations in 2014, with the current 2.4 litre V8s being replaced by more efficient 1.6 litre, turbocharged V6s.

The FIA had originally planned a switch to four-cylinder engines in 2013, but has approved the revised formula in light of concerns formalised last week by various interested parties.

“Following a fax vote by its members, the World Motor Sport Council has ratified the engine regulations recently drawn up in consultation with the main stakeholders in Formula One,” read an FIA statement.

“The new power plant will be a V6 1.6 turbo unit with energy recovery systems. This new formula will come into effect as from the start of the 2014 FIA Formula One World Championship season.”

The new energy recovery systems (ERS) will replace the current kinetic energy recovery systems (KERS) and are expected to be more powerful. Combined with the legalisation of turbocharging, they will ensure overall power outputs remain similar to current levels, despite an anticipated drop in the permitted rev limit.

Formula One’s last turbo era ended in 1988, a season dominated by the 1.5 litre V6 Honda-powered McLaren’s of Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna. The sport returned to naturally aspirated engines in 1989, with a new 3.5 litre formula.

I am for sure going to a race next year as well....I have decided on either Monaco, Monza or Montreal

I have been to the Spanish Grand prix already so that for sure is out

StylinRed 06-30-2011 12:39 PM

laaame they should have bumped it up to V12s :)

SkinnyPupp 06-30-2011 06:44 PM

Man if they can manage to have a shitty boring race in a season like THIS, Valencia needs to be dropped from the calendar for good.

The V12's of the mid 90's...

Best sounding F1 engines to date.

denham 07-02-2011 12:24 AM

I do love the sound of those V12s, but for the best of all time I think it's hard to beat the BRM H16!

HonestTea 07-23-2011 12:49 AM

FROM TSN

BUDAPEST, Hungary -- The Bahrain Grand Prix is set to return to the Formula One calendar next year, with the Turkish GP to be dropped.

F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone has circulated the proposed schedule at the Hungarian GP, where the teams will give their say before governing body FIA approves the dates.

Simone Perillo, general secretary of the Formula One Teams Association, tells The Associated Press that Turkey did not make the cut while Bahrain will be held in November. That leaves the Australian GP as the season opener for a second straight year.

Teams lamented the exit of Turkey but made no comment on Bahrain. The Turkish GP had been raced in Istanbul since 2005.

"It's a shame to lose any grand prix," Renault team principal Eric Boullier said on Friday. "But we have to deal with some change in Formula One sometimes, and we can only hope we go back there one day."

The tentative date for the Canadian Grand Prix is June 10, 2012, at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal.

This year's Bahrain GP was delayed, reinstated and then finally cancelled in the wake of political unrest in the Gulf country. At least 32 people have been killed in a crackdown on anti-government protests.

rs420 08-28-2011 05:45 PM

Schumacher went 24th - 13th in the first lap! if he had a better car he would be a contender still

c3m 08-28-2011 07:53 PM

^ Hamilton took himself out by changing his line without looking

Agreed. It's Hamilton's own fault but I bet Kobayashi would probably try to avoid it (he has a little bit of room on his left) if it's anyone else.

StylinRed 08-29-2011 12:57 PM

Awesome race

Go Schumi!

Button too outta nowhere just went all RAAAAAAAAWR

I thought Rosbergs car was going to catch fire @ the start looked like he was overheating with all that smoke and BOOM into 1st
