You've missed the entire point...Would you dry yourself off with a wet towel? No...Why not? Because it's uncomfortable and doesn't work as well.

Likewise when you have a large screen that is meant to be operated by touching it, and it gets covered with oils and other sediments, it becomes not only awkward to use, but also difficult.

And besides, to each their own. One might talk on the phone and operate it all day and therefore they need to be comfortable using it. I don't think anyone who relies on a piece of electronic equipement constantly throughout the day would want it to be oily and dirty to touch.

Not only this, oil and grease make the screen harder to see in certain lighting.
Besides, with a screen as beautiful as the galaxy s2's you wanna be able to use it at its best

hmm
Reason I asked is because when you compare the the anti-fingerprint properties between Ultra Oleophobic and Ultra Optics, the Ultra Optics only has it beat by half a star:

I never saw this table before until recently or else I would've gotten the Oleophobic one instead since the difference for anti-fingerprint is only half a star but the oleo gets a perfect 5 for light transmittance.

Been using the ultra optics for a few days now and while it's not completely anti-fingerprint, they are easier to wipe off.

I think I might return mine.

Call to see what Fido can offer me if I renew contract.

They gave me an "Ok" offer.

But 3 year contract if I want to get the LG Optimus 2x.

So might as well start fresh with Bell to get the SGS2.

What do you guys think?

SgS2 or LG Optimus 2x.

After watching reviews the winner seems to be the SGS2, but the Optimus 2x doesnt look too bad either.

Its just a little slower with a slightly inferior camera. I think the 2x beat the SGS2 in the graphics department though.

I dont think you can go wrong with either one.

If I were you, sign with whoever can get you the best deal voice plan/data wise.

The SGS2's exynos CPU obliterates the tegra2 though

One of the comments:

This cable has a Micro-A plug, the jack on the Xoom is Micro-B. The "A" type plug is rectangular, the "B" type plug has beveled corners. You can plug a "B" plug into an "A" jack, but you cannot physically plug an "A" plug into a "B" jack.

I think our phone is using the B-type plug

I'm thinking of getting this, but how hard is it to root/unlock/load custom ROMS onto it?

Will most custom ROM's released for the regular sgs2 work for the bell version?

I'm checking out xda right now and it looks so confusing :S

So I applied my ultra oleophobic today. Almost perfect application. Still picks up oil but seems to wipe off better.

Yes all the stuff on xda will work with our phones. That's what pretty much everyone on this thread that owns an sgs2 has done. I feel its easy to root and unlock. I wrote a tutorial in this thread. You'll have to search for it.
