It's worth it for me because they automatically transfer all the information from the previous years, and it's just easier to use than some of the free alternatives (e.g. ufile), especially when you have investments and deductions. Once you start getting into all this investment stuff it can get complicated I'm sure.

I did mine last weekend and I'm getting back $53.46 using Turbo Tax. Goal next year is to get it as close to zero so I can maximize investments, savings and play money.

In current news, havent even filed my taxes | They are behind in processing cheques for monthly payroll remittances. Sent dated cheques for clients for Feb 15 2017 for January payroll and they just cashed it on March 06 2017.

Mark | Well, if you work on commissions and make over $100k, this is not unusual depending on expense write-offs, RRSP contributions, etc. Your payroll deductions are set-up based on your salary or expected take-home, but if you make significantly more money, then you pay on a sliding scale.
My commission cheques are taxed 46%, I pay over $50k in federal taxes alone, and usually get anywhere between only $4K and $6k back - and that is with claiming my wife as a dependent which used to enable you to share income within certain brackets (she claims our children). They are bloody thieves.
