^ Around what time? If it's at night that means I can head over the Pitt Meadows in the morning :D

!Aznboi128 03-08-2011 09:23 PM

What time are you guys going to meet? I'm off work at 4:30..... :(

RCubed 03-08-2011 10:29 PM

Im thinking early afternoon and onwards. Maybe start at 2 or 3 and end whenever. With a big group, we could be shooting till evening and go for dinner together.

Dangerphoto 03-08-2011 10:52 PM

Does anyone have an extra RF trigger? I have yet to purchase a cheapo one.

Senna4ever 03-09-2011 12:21 AM

Hmmmm.....Sunday, eh? If I go, I'll bring some lighting gear.

Matsuda 03-09-2011 05:27 AM

if Senna goes, I'll leave my lighting gear at home! =D

Matsuda 03-09-2011 05:50 AM

here's some locations we were thinking, along this road is pretty quiet. There's a railyard next to it so it may make for an interesting backdrop

Google Maps

Right now the trees are pretty barren and you can see the Alex Fraser Bridge around it
Google Maps

this is along River Road, there's a pull off that we can park and shoot photos

http://maps.google.ca/?ie=UTF8&ll=49...12,350.68,,0,5

we found an industrial area near the north end of no 6 road that could be interesting but google maps didn't map out those side streets

Is this to bring your car in so others take photos, or is it to take your own photos of your car?

I'd definitely like to take my car in for photos, but I only have a normal digital camera.
I usually just point and shoot with decent angles, but I don't know how to do any fancy adjusting or anything.

Thanks

Dangerphoto 03-09-2011 09:38 AM

Don't jinx it gars!! This light shower is just a little sprinkle at the flowers.

hm.... i just saw this thread i might be down for this too on sunday

Dangerphoto 03-09-2011 08:05 PM

If we can shoot just after the lunch hour that would be awesome...I forgot about the fundraiser I have to attend between 4-6 >.<....in Burnaby. At the same time, I may come back out after to do the "night" part of the shoot if you guys are still shooting into the night.

1exotic 03-09-2011 08:45 PM

I may be down also, not sure if I'll be free on Sunday though.
I can bring a Supra for the shoot,
but I don't have a rig and don't use lighting ;-D (gotta buy some external flashes soon)

RCubed 03-09-2011 08:48 PM

Lol I tried shooting tonight in the dark with strobes and it sucked. Im such a noob at strobing. Ended up shooting with ambient light and hoping for the best.

Dangerphoto 03-09-2011 09:11 PM

RCubed 03-09-2011 09:12 PM

If someone could answer, that would be great, thanks.

RCubed 03-09-2011 09:23 PM

^I didnt even see that post. Haha

What we're doing is kinda like a tutorial-learning-experimenting photography session. Maybe set up one car at a time and everyone take pictures of it?

I honestly have no idea how this is gonna turn out.

Feel free to come along if you have something to contribute or want to learn. :)

Matsuda 03-09-2011 09:42 PM

anyone have a ladder they could bring? I'd like to get some high shots =)

EndLeSS8 03-10-2011 12:36 AM

I'll try to make it

RCubed: you have PM
