Oh man... the latest on Al Jazeera is footage from an English teacher. He's just dropping F-bombs, and other 4 letter words. Damn, it's over.

this is freaking unreal...
Just watching the water sweep - it looks so slow, but water carries so MUCH energy it just took away a trailer truck, some cars, and some trees with it.
holy cow.

I just watched CTV and there are no alerts for Vancouver island. They said the swells are going to be worse then normal but we have nothing to worry about.

skyxx 03-10-2011 10:50 PM

Wow the News anchor for Aljazeera is kinda retarded. the correspondent said New Zealand might get a 1 metre high tide and what he replies in return is "So it might damage small towns and areas" Then the correspondent sorta went "uhhhh no.." I'm sure he's thinking "what an idiot".

twitchyzero 03-10-2011 10:51 PM

makes you wonder how home insurance works in japan in covering earthquake damages..

Senna4ever 03-10-2011 10:51 PM

Tofino and Ucluelet residents might be sweating a little...

I think for many countries, huge damages like these are all reimbursed by the government?

Jgresch 03-10-2011 10:53 PM

Just replayed the farmland. The car gets away by like 10 seconds before the road is engulfed.
