you been trollin here since day 1 dammit, but this isn't the thread for it....
why don't you go park your paper car somewhere safe, if you havent heard already we may have some water incoming, before the water melts the paper mache off your car

jing 03-11-2011 12:19 AM

Last time I checked we live in Vancouver and not in Prince Rupert or Tofino. It is physically impossible for a tsunami to travel through and up the Juan de Fuca Strait. For those of us in the Lower Mainland, there is NO tsunami risk.

& Jing, though majority of us live here in Vancouver and not on the island, it's still important as we have relatives overseas, and who knows, maybe even relatives even closer on Vancouver Island itself.

we are relatively safe, but i dont think it is IMPOSSIBLE

Boostaholic 03-11-2011 12:24 AM

Richmond is below sea level, you don't even need a wave, as long as the sea level rises a little Richmond will be all wet.

Qmx323 03-11-2011 12:25 AM

cant even imagine if this happened off the coast HERE

fucking chaos

dbaz 03-11-2011 12:25 AM

just because the tsunami wave wont hit the lower mainland it doesnt mean there isnt enough water pressure to still flood low lying areas like delta and richmond but it would have to be strong enough i believe

Do you think Canadian service men are going to rescue people when a major earth quake hits this city? Supply water and food when there isnt any around? Good luck to you sir.

- kT 03-11-2011 12:26 AM

we are so fucked
i'm actually packed a bag after reading through this thread and tossed it in my car. pretty paranoid but i don't give a shit right now

let's hope for the best guys. especially the people who are in richmond (myself included)

edit// i havn't seen any news of this at all on my news feed all day today (on fb) and now i check and it's flooded with posts. i guess a lot of people don't really give a shit until stuff affects them
