stink bombs??
how old are you...seriously?!?!

we had a tenant who was trying to take advantage of us....went to the RTB and matter got settled in a few weeks and now she's making some other landlord's life a living hell

noventa 03-17-2011 05:52 PM

seriously? get yourself a kilo of cocaine and put it in his suite. Then, call the cops anonymously on his ass. When they take him you can move out his stuff.

Matsuda 03-17-2011 05:53 PM

I think the op deserves a tsunami of fails..

Find your breaker switches and cut the power to his section of the house. pretty hard to live without power.

dark0821 03-17-2011 06:43 PM

cept most switcher board are on the 1st floor in tentant suites...

nickmak 03-17-2011 06:50 PM

buy me harveys for lunch (with a fring poutine, fring pountines are a must but they have to be special ordered but i don't see that as being a problem as you want the tenant OUT) and i'll drop one of the fattest dooks you've ever seen anywhere you want in his suite. shoot me a PM if you're interested.

Manic! 03-17-2011 07:00 PM

Don't serve him a notice just toss him out. If he won't move tell him you are going to call the cops for trespassing. You have no signed contract so he has know right to be there and has no proof he is renting from you. Cops will come and arrest him if he does not move.

remember: DO NOT SERVE HIM A NOTICE. It will only provide him documented proof that he was renting from you.

dude i wasnt looking for someones stink bomb.... i was looking for the ones that come in little packages that do not contain real poop...

Wrong, tenants of illegal units have the same rights as tenants Of legally declared units. Be a man and serve him notice. If he doesn't vacate, then you can throw him out.

ruthless 03-17-2011 07:13 PM

If you fuck with him, watch what he does to your basement...
ready to mix concrete and toilets/drain pipes dont mix very well.

So no dont put a stink bomb in his suite...give him a notice of eviction, he doesn't have to know its an illegal suite, just give him the notice and be done with it

It is against the law for a landlord to (1) physically evict a tenant without a Writ of Possession, or (2) change the locks without a
Dispute Resolution Officer’s order to do so, or (3) seize a tenant’s personal property without a court order.
its also illegal to enter his suite without his permission UNLESS its an emergency such as the hot water tank is leaking or something serious of that nature...If you want to enter you have to give him a written notice at least 24 hours prior to entry

O and you can get stink bombs at a paintball shop im sure....don't recommend it thought :)

You can't throw him out yourself. You have hire a bailiff. But I'm afraid for the OP that there'd be trouble if he dispute it (good news is that most would just leave) and the municipal find out you're renting it out illegally, you would have to pay fines (don't know how much though).

If you decide to serve the notice, do it right away as this process take a long time.

bloodmack 03-17-2011 08:18 PM

change the locks. he has to leave the house to work does he not?
He cant do anything if you change the locks, he can call the cops and you can deny everything, you have no documented proof that he lives in the basement, thus he cant get you in trouble.

BaoTurbo 03-17-2011 08:26 PM

Seriously...stink bomb? No.

i am starting to think maybe the stink bomb is the right choice... of course take the stink bomb package out of his room after its deployed.. unless u want ur ass beaten or sued lol... hopefuly this thing wont stink up too bad, i dont want it to stink super bad, but just enough to stay in his room for a day or 2 lol...

or i could be a noisy fucker and try to get him to move out, maybe i should start thowing partys in my house woohoo

I read before I posted, your managing the tenancy for you mother effectively making you the landlord, except your mother will suffer the fines.

Want to know whats hilarious about this situation, genius?

Even though you/your mother have no rights, your tenant still does and can seek monetary damages for harassment and damages.

Documented proof... like his photos, clothes, ID, bills in the tenants name, laptop full of his pictures and information, all inside the suite?

Anjew 03-17-2011 11:10 PM

why stop at stink bombs.. take a big shit on his front door.

Serve the notice, just say you are doing major reno's (replacing floors, kitchen etc) downstairs then selling the house. Also ask him to let you in to do some measurements for the floors or kitchen cabinets... sounds believable.

dont fuck this one up. the fines are $50-200 A DAY.

busdriverman 03-17-2011 11:22 PM

i thought that OP was a troll but i guess not

twitchyzero 03-17-2011 11:36 PM

OP deserves to have cement poured down the toilet of his illegally rented property.
