BTW skipping is for 7 year old girls. | I fucking hated how they split my year. Everyone born before March 22 of my birth year got the 30-day license. March 22 and up? Yeah, we got shafted.
Split it at the year, or don't split it at all.

You aint got any safer with the tards with full license on the road.
The 1 year length is retarded because L drivers don't DD with a supervisor in their cars because it's cumbersome to do so. They only practice once in a while. It should be cut down to 4 months maybe 6 months top. If they can't drive properly they won't pass anyways.

The learner’s (L) licence stage:
The first stage is the learner’s L stage (L) licence with restrictions to help reduce the risks while learning to drive. After 12 months of prohibition-free driving, you qualify to take your first road test—the Class 7 road test. You can stay in the learner’s (L) stage as long as you need to. Your learner’s (L) licence is valid for 2 years, but can be renewed by re-qualifying on the knowledge test in the learner’s (L) stage. Once you pass the road test, you will receive a novice (N) licence.
To obtain a B.C. driver’s licence, you must be 16 years old. If under 19, bring your parent or legal guardian to sign for your application.

its the same as before except the fact that if you take the lessons with classroom and on road instruction then you get to take your N after 18 months rather than 24.

I remember having an L....NOT... I skipped it by having rich parents overseas. I just told ICBC that I needed to drive to take over their buisness and they were cool with it. Just ask, I'm sure things havn't changed in 10 years.
also, mercedes benzos are expensive to insure, so ask them for the 43% discount too, they usually say "sure" if you're taking over your parents buisness. It only makes sense.

Its nowhere near as strict overseas, or even in the states. I remember when i was in the UK there was basically no 'waiting' period, you can get a full license as soon as you can get the appointment booked.

Get a license from another country that lets you drive by yourself and when you show it to them they let you skip the L and go straight to N. That's what I did a couple years back.
