question about NOS

hey

recently been looking into putting NOS in my car
I understand there is more powerfull systems adding 75-150 150-250 190-300 hp

my car (92 GSR ) has just about as many bolt ons as you can get (if that matters) intake velocity stack - TB - IM - Fuel rail - headers - cat back

so my question is will NOS be alright on my car and how powerful of a system would be acceptable on what my car currently has. Or whats the safe amount with risking a blown engine. will certain things need to upgraded etc?

sorry if its a dumb Q but help is appreciated

Thx

Amateurs don't use nitrous oxide. I've seen the way you drive. You'll blow yourself to pieces!

maybe a 50 or 75 shot. make sure your fuel pump is in good shape and retard the timing or you'll fuck something up. and if your motor is really worn, forget it. you'll have so much blow by, trust me hahah.

i ran a 75 shot wet with a cheap water meth kit for a long ass time with 10.5:1 compression on 94 octane (obviously), ghetto street tuned as well haha

i'm very interested in Nitrous as welll

from the research i've done for my own car, G35, the VQ35 is a very robust engine, capable of handling 400whp on the stock block without any modifications done to the internals

now with that in mind, most people recommend 100 wet shot MAX for my engine, and that's for something in good shape, and TUNING is a MUST, or you'll blow your engine.
Personally i was going to run a 75shot.

Now, me and the mad scientist got to rip apart the block... and replace the piston rings you fried.

A 100 shot of NOS is going to blow the welds on your intake

are you referring to his car or most cars in general?

edit: forgot to mention i'd only run about 50 shot on OP's car.

it's actually pretty safe as long as you double clutch like you're supposed to.

google other forum sites specific to your car and check out some of there mods with nos, some cars can take it easly with no mods and some cannot....if you fuck up KABOOM YOU GO....

Shops:
Racing Greed might have an answer for you as well call them up, Vancouver Motorsports might be another one..
