Yes, it is something they want. As of now, they are making an "App Player" for the PlayBook that has a new OS (QNX). Android apps only work through the "App Player" and only apps that developers decide to repackage and submit to RIM for them to work.

So i uninstalled liveprofile and my battery life when back to normal...

what? I never said BB was good to begin with :lol: I've always hated BB's they're so ugly and BBM is just a marketing ploy, imagine if apple included "iMessenger" or something stupid like it. BB would fall off the face of the earth.

other than a proper keyboard, and it does what a phone is supposed to do.

core - text, push email, calls/contacts

add ons - high MP camera, HD video recording, accelerometer, millions of apps and games etc.

BB does core best, that's why i stick with it

yea.. live profile pretty shitty.. if your gonna go for a free app i think whatsapp is the best out of all of em free apps otherwise BBM > __________

i have a 9700 and its the last berry i'll ever buy.
rimm was ahead of the game 5+ years ago, but since the iphone came out and moved the whole smartphone market in a new direction, not so much.

I swear whatsapp is stil better atm, more stable, downside is for bbs u gotta pay yearly or smth after the first month free trial
iphone is just a one time pay

Somehow when I downloaded whatsapp the free trial was for a year lol

the "free" trial has worked on my berry for over a year... haha

so Liveprofile is actually working now, really dislike the interface though. Looks hideous

uninstalled live profile quite some time ago and was so glad to see the battery life go back to normal.
also, i use both whatsapp, and beluga. beluga for group chat with my friends back in edmonton, and whatsapp for others who i just wanna msg. both apps are pretty good imo for my uses
