ouch, all lots around no.3 are dangerous at night now it seems. Could also be the same bunch targeting these areas, do it once, didnt get caught, do it another time, etc etc.
RCMP need to put some bait cars and get these bastards caught.

Apparently they filed a report with the cops but they can't really do much at this point.

I just called the Richmond Pawnbroker and nothing showed up. They are the only pawnstore in richmond I think. Debating if I should call the rest of the lower mainland.

Do you think the pawn stores will comply and help? Or they're just in it for the money and rather just keep the laptops if they do show up??

They have to give the serials to a RCMP database and hold for 30-60 days or something so they can check if anything was stolen.

honestly i think its just vancouver in general...
i drive a 1996 corolla, fully stock and it got broken into while i was at work @ metrotown P1 zellers parking lot. (took NTH cuz there was NTH to be taken) I didnt even replace the rear quater glass, just vinyl car wrap the shit up, so now there is only a sticker paper btw total access to my car, and it seems to do the trick, now my car doesnt get broken into at all LOL =.=

sad to hear OP and the one that lost the 3 laptops, at this point, I think even an empty "luxury"/"newer" car is gonna get busted into regardless...

People who break into cars dont go to pawn shops.. They use it as currency to buy drugs.. Druggies need to pay for their fix so they steal electronics and trade them in for drugs.. Dealers love this as they get more than they give out and they can still sell it off to their friends or keep it themselves.
