Man. I haven't missed my PS3 that much since the outtage. I've been outside a hell of a lot more than I used to. LOL

Better now than during MW3, right?!

Everythings fine for me now cept the playstation store. Just read this.. anyone receive it yet? wonder which in game downloads it applies to..

Sony has already introduced a "Welcome Back" package which includes free in-game downloads, 30 days of free access to PlayStation Plus, 30 days of free access to Qriocity's Music Unlimited, as well as free identity theft monitoring from Debix. It will also offer $1 million in insurance for users who have been victimized by identity theft.

dub.g 05-15-2011 11:34 AM

Sony hasnt specify yet which games will be free since each region will have different game that they will offer

dont know if you can create a new account yet but would be cool if you have dummy accounts for japan and europe so you cant get DL their games

for those really paranoid about getting their CC info stolen, Michael Pachter just released a video explaining the process and will at least help to ease your mind.. its a good watch

SiRV 05-29-2011 06:27 PM

just wondering.. has it been down for the past couple days?
I've been trying to log in and it says that server is undergoing maintenance

dub.g 05-29-2011 06:38 PM

^^ huh wierd, iv had no problem since they relaunch it

the only time i see "undergoing maintenance" is when you try to access psn store

Yea i have had no problems either, and PS3 has released this:

Now that some PlayStation Network and Qriocity services have been restored and you’re once again enjoying online gaming and entertainment, we’re happy to provide details about the “Welcome Back” appreciation program for customers in North America. We developed the program as an expression of our gratitude for your patience, support and continued loyalty during the service outage. From all of us at PlayStation, thank you and welcome back!

This package will be made available to all existing registered PlayStation Network and Qriocity users in North America (US and Canada), and will be made available shortly after we have fully restored the service. More specific details about these offers and eligibility requirements will be posted as the services go live.

All PlayStation Network customers can select two PS3 games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.

•Dead Nation
•inFAMOUS
•LittleBigPlanet
•Super Stardust HD
•Wipeout HD + Fury
For PSP owners, you will be eligible to download two PSP games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.

•LittleBigPlanet (PSP)

•Killzone Liberation
•A selection of “On Us” rental movie titles will be available to PlayStation Network customers over one weekend, where Video Service is available. Those titles will be announced soon.

•Existing Music Unlimited Premium Trial subscription members will receive an additional 30 days of free premium subscription.
•Additional 30 days + time lost for existing members of Music Unlimited Premium/Basic subscription free of charge for existing Premium/Basic members.
•To welcome users Home, PlayStation Home will be offering 100 free virtual items. Additional free content will be released soon, including the next addition to the Home Mansion personal space, and Ooblag’s Alien Casino, an exclusive game.
We’d like to thank all of our publishing and development partners who’ve contributed to the Welcome Back program, including Bigbig Studios, Codeglue, Digital Leisure, Guerilla Games, Heavy Water, Housemarque, Lockwood, Loot, Mass Media, Media Molecule, SCE Cambridge Studios, SCE Studio Liverpool, SCE San Diego Studios, and Sucker Punch Productions. We couldn’t have created such a compelling package without them!

I updated last night,

I'm trying to 'sign in' at this url: http://us.playstation.com/psn/
to change my password (as directed by the PS pop-up message), and it's been saying that it is currently undergoing maintenance.. is there a way I can change my password through the PS3 instead of doing it on my comp?

StylinRed 05-29-2011 07:33 PM

when you sign in on ur ps3 it forces you to change your password

Alby 05-29-2011 07:42 PM

The Store is supposed to be back up by the end of this week they said...(however they have missed a few quoted deadlines already)

oldsnail 06-01-2011 09:39 AM

updated to 3.61, still can't sign in, undergoing maintainence.

AWDTurboLuvr 06-01-2011 09:43 AM

Quoted from Kotaku

"Sony just announced that the PSN, down since April in the wake of an attack by hackers, will be fully restored (for most regions) by the end of the week.

The only regions where it won't be 100% back will be Japan, Hong Kong, and South Korea.

For everyone else, that means the following suite of PSN services should be back up and running by Friday:

- Full functionality on PlayStationŽStore
- In-game commerce
- Ability to redeem vouchers and codes
- Full functionality on Music Unlimited powered by Qriocity for PS3, PSP, VAIO and other PCs
- Full functionality on Media Go

PlayStation boss Kaz Hirai says in a statement "We have been conducting additional testing and further security verification of our commerce functions in order to bring the PlayStation Network completely back online so that our fans can again enjoy the first class entertainment experience they have come to love."

"We appreciate the patience and support shown during this time."
