Fucking cunts If you want to "have access" to something, don't fucking buy a PS3, buy a computer. EDIT: Hmm, saw this on the "official" anon site Quote:
So SOMEONE is causing this, just not the main group which threatened to. |

People who whine about buying a device and not having "access" to it are retarded. If you want "access" to something, then don't buy that device. How hard is that to understand? Most of them are just bitches who want to pirate games and install hax so they can cheat in MP. |
retards... someone should find all these 12yr old hackers / 50yr old fat asses in their moms basement and take their internet access away |
one day? it's been down for at almost a week now...pathetic. |
I dont know too much about this but isn't the playstation network an added bonus to all ps3 owners? You PAID for the system but the network is something that Sony does for their customers individually? Last I heard you didn't have to pay to access the network... unless all that has changed |
Though I'm not about to bitch and complain about how it's been down or how I don't have "Access" to my PS3. I will say one thing When I was faced with the decision of buying a 360 or a PS3 two things came to mind: 1) I was able to, out of the box, install and run Linux on my PS3 without any hassle (YDL even had a distro designed for the PS3), whereas the 360 has XBMC 2) Racing Games (GT5 for the PS3... Forza for 360) In fact, scratch out point 2, because point 1 was the deal maker for me. I wasn't keen on hacking my machine, or pulling crazy stunts with it. The inclusion of "OtherOS" meant I could do away with a media computer in my Living room, using VLC on Linux to stream content directly from my network, regardless of format. But probably the thing I enjoyed the most about having the little penguin on my PS3 was that I could install emulators and play my classic games on the big screen. (I know I can do this on a computer, but I really don't have any to spare, and I wasn't about to go out and buy one JUST to have it take up more space in the living room). It was fantastic. I played Super Mario on a TV for the first time ever since my SNES broke down in Grade 4. Fast forward to 2010, Sony "deletes" the otherOS feature. I decided to put off the update for a long time, just so I can continue doing what I wanted to do, on a feature included in the console when I bought it but will be meticulously taken away. When GT5 came out and I was forced to do the update, I felt ripped off. I genuinely did. It's like buying a legit copy of Windows from Microsoft, and then sometime down the line they decide that you can only use the install once and only once, and that you cannot ever reinstall your own computer, on the same hardware (ie: a reformat). I know that the OtherOS feature may not have been important to other people at all, but it was something that made me spend the extra 200 dollars at the PS3 launch to get one, and to wait the extra year for a PS3. |
Although I support system openness, I don't support any kind of criminal activity. Hacking PSN is basically a virtual vandalism. And just because you are capable of doing something, doesn't mean it gives you the right to do so. These "anon" are no different to terrorists. |

Damn those fucking hackers!!! :fuuuuu: |
When Sony forced the cinavia update on us, thats when they went too far. I bought the console because it doubled as a "play-all media" system. IDC if you think pirating movies, or music is bad, Sony should fuck off and stop hampering the system. I can live without PSN for a couple days for Sony to know what a bunch of tards they are. |
I'm neutral to this. I don't play any Sony games...nor do I use the PlayStation. And I usually like what anon does. No clue why they attacked sony though.. I'll go look it up. Edit: Ok, Yeah, sorry to say but, I support them on this. I see where most of you are coming from but that Lawsuit is bullshit. Big corp's are full of shit, so they can eat my asshole. |
sigh... lol |
i rarely play my ps3 didnt even know psn was down till my friend told me. But yah its lucky that psn is free and doesnt cost money like xbox live or i think people would be going crazy. |

"learn the word terrorist"? LOL I know the word, we all became very familiar with it in september of 2001. I find it hilarious that some one can consider a video game hacker a terrorist. Addicted much?? Get a life and go outside or something people!! |

Hacking PSN fits neither (although it probably did create some fear in some hardcore gamers who really need to get lives anyway). Just because the term has been abused, over-used, and just outright misused by governments and media, especially since 9/11, doesn't mean it applies here. |

wow lets hope this guys doesn't own an xbox. you have to pay to play online unlike psn >.> |

The question is if you guy something can you do what ever you want with it? Sony sued the person behind the jail break so you could install any OS on it. The case was settled out of court. Annon was upset about the lawsuit. I believe if I buy something I should be able to do what ever I want with it. |
ps3 is only good for blu rays, ps3 exclusive games and the ability to watch youtube videos against the xbox lol |
