"My favourite as a cop pulled me over was " your license plate frame was too shiny and made the last letter of your plate difficult to read" "

Does this translate into...the frame on your plate was obstructing the last letter, making it difficult to read? I can't see how a frame behind the plate could make it difficult to see the numbers. The regs do say that nothing may obstruct the plate...and that means things like coloured/clear covers, frames, hanging it under/inside the front of the vehicle etc. It's not ours to cut or modify or obstruct as it remains the property of ICBC/MVB which gives them the authority to seize it if it is being misused.

It just occurred to me... "Of course your plate is flagged... see, right there, between the two sets of numbers/letters..."

if you dont plead guilty in there im gonna ask the judge to take your lisence away,

You must be a complete a-hole.

I have yet to meet a bad cop and I've been pulled over enough and let go with warnings when I deserved far more. Respect is returned, not given, and judging by your writing style I can guess why you have bad encounters.

Plates can have notes attached to them for special consideration, yet I doubt there's a note that says "pull over anytime you see this car"

Absolutely. I've had nothing but good experiences with traffic officers, even when I have been in the very wrong . I've been pulled over twice just so the officers could checkout my car, and not been given a VI despite having some questionable mods.

Most officers are great people, and car people too! Treat them with respect and you'll get it in return.

Bingo.

Something people here should remember is, cops have a LOT LOT LOT of experience in "reading" people, and I suspect even have training in it specifically. A lot of you post here and say, "I was respectful and he still gave me a ticket", then go on to spout off about what a douche/pig/jerk all cops are... but the fact is, while you may have ACTED (what you view as) respectful, your body language and "energy" were probably just oozing contempt for the uniform to the level ANYONE could pick up on, let alone cops who can smell it a mile away.

Not to compare cops to dogs, but you know how they say a dog can "smell fear"... anyone who's watched The Dog Whisperer knows that dogs have a very keen sense of a person's "energy" regardless of how the person thinks they're portraying themselves... and Cesar has a keen sense for it as well, which is part of how he picks up what people are doing wrong with their dogs.

It's no different for anyone who's trained and experienced in "reading" people. For a better (fictional) example, watch "The Mentalist" sometime.
