UBC Parking

Those of you who have unpaid tickets will have a higher chance of getting towed now. It appears that UBC Parking recently acquired automatic license plate recognition (ALPR) on some vehicles. The parking patrols simply need to drive around parking lots, and the ALPR will scan all the plates. Those with outstanding tickets will most likely be visited by a tow truck.

Just as a side note, Impark in Richmond acquired a few vehicles with ALPR too.

I don't know if Parking and UBC roadwork fall under the same portfolio, but regardless, I agree that the roads needs heavy work. Uni Boulevard eastbound by Blanca is fuuuucked, and some stretches of Marine need to be looked at as well....

the worst is Wesbrook.....from Agronomy to Univestity Blvd

Marine drive FYI is not part of UBC....it belongs to the City of Vancouver as do the free parking spots there that fill up by 630am
