Any Oysters Lovers in here?

Anyone know of a good place to eat oysters locally? Rodney's Oyster House?

I've been craving oysters lately ever since a trip down to South Carolina, where they have oysters from there too.

Sandbar usually has a pretty decent list of local BC oysters. Same as Joe Fortes.

I've only had them once at Blue Water, while good, quite expensive.

I oysters

Don't forget Rodney's has happy hour, 3-6pm I think at $1.50/oyster.
Boathouse also has happy hour, 3-6pm, $1/oyster.
There's also the recently opened RawBar on Howe st.

I like boathouse happy hour because you can request Kumamoto and Kusshi oysters for $1/each. You can't even buy them for that price at the Lobsterman

The back room of Rodney's is really chill, it's slightly 'fancier' with a different, more expensive menu.

One time they were full in the main room, I sat in the little 4-person bar in the corner of the back room, talking to the schucker and other strangers at the bar, good times. They gave us us a taste of these super fresh scallops that just came in, raw with a light vinaigrette. So nice.

Went to Rodneys a few days ago,

3 of us....

2 dozen oysters

2 crabs (due to too small)

1 deep fried oysters

1 garlic prawn....

Bill came up to $267.... super expensive

and they charged me 18% tip automatically even though I did not have a party of 6 or more....

Food was very good but was no one was full and very expensive.

We did not have any drinks too.

if you love oysters but cant afford to spend that much

could always consider going to an ayce sushi restaurant like bc sushi and eat as much oysters as you want

quality and taste wont be the same though

If you want a good deal, go to Whole Foods Market on Cambie.
The seafood department as 5-6 variety of of fresh BC oysters.
They can shuck if for you there. The price ranges from $.79 to $1.49 depending on the oyster. You can even eat it there, they have a cafe.
