ive downloaded the torrent files
it includes 2.16 MB of users emails, adress, phone#s, passwords, in plain text .txt file
as u know 2.16mb in .txt is a fucking load of accounts i think its in the tens of thousands range
anyways i tried logging in some hotmail msn accounts and when i logged on, their DPs were troll face pics and already have 0 contacts lololol.
and i went on one person's hotmail and found boob pics of that email owner lololol.
the torrent file also contains 20 000 coupon codes. i think its for sonymusic
You don't post that type of shit on line.
I hope you didn't do it from your home computer because that's royally stupid.

Not quite...
PS3 ships with ability to run linux console something rather. It's a selling feature.
Sony is similar to apple, very restrictive with how they want you to run their hardware. Eventually they remove the linux console thingy with updates. If you don't update, you can't play newer games, watch stuff etc...
Hackers don't like their toys being taken away from them, especially something they paid for. Sony is idiotic enough to think they can get away with removing features. Hackers decide to find the PS3 master unlock code, then publish it on the internet.
Sony tries to sue said hacker. Not just normally, but using weird ass legal loopholes.
Sony is now getting a taste of what it did. Having what they worked to earn being forcibly removed from them.
If you followed the whole episode of this, you'll understand how Sony was mean, overstepped it's bounds and was downright evil.
chained proxy ftw!
lol jk i did it at home. cyberpolice gonna come get me for logging into someone's email and possesion of stolen property that a million other people have in the worldd

Theability to run linux was not a selling feature.
It wasn't until you opened up your console manual where it listed "install other os".
Sony realized this feature had a security exploit and removed it.
They basically patched the exploit by making it non functional.
Now by Sony trying to erase the console root key from the internet and gettin sue happy with the hacking community well thats there they brought this on themselves.
Sony truly believe that the PS3 was un-hackable, therfore completely overlooked psn security and even firewalls protecting our info or even more inportantly their "root key"
Yeah what was he thinking... who knows there might be cops reading this very thread!!!
dont know if u guys are being serious or not.
local cop does not give a shit about this...
anyone in a higer authority, its a waste of time to be on revscene
and if lol if some authority 'gets me', they have the onus to prove that i was on the computer while this happened lol (near impossible).
*im in korea (making it easier for the cops to find me)

hahaha. In short, Yes.
The ability to hack it to play pirated games was always around, but what has Sony's panties in a knot is now that now with the master key, there are work-arounds to playing hacked games online and that with it, they can't ban your console as you can just unban yourself.
I have no idea where to find this stuff, or whether it's even floating somewhere out there online. I've never looked, I don't own a ps3. It's just that I heard that it can be done now.
FYI, I'm not encouraging you to pirate their games .
Just explaining why sony is so pissed off.
