And what will I do to bring down Boston? I'm going to cheer. I'm going to be a fan. I'm going to do what I've done every year; support the team. I'm going to remain objective about what our strengths and weaknesses are, and acknowledge that Boston is a good team with a good history and that we would have no shame in losing to them in the finals.

I'm going to be satisfied with what happens with this Stanley Cup final, no matter who wins. The Canucks rocked some faces during the playoffs and we got to see some pretty goddamned good games. We saw Malhotra get fucked up almost beyond repair and rejoin the team to help with the efforts. We saw players grow into leaders. We saw fans become inspired. We saw a city come together and celebrate. We saw our people brave overpacked transit and fucked up roads to come down and be a part of the celebration. We even packed a stadium full of people to watch a game on a TV screen at $10 a head. We saw what fans we could be.

Fuck it. Even if we lose the finals, we still won.
