Why not stay oc'd? My llc is at level 5 now.

On 100% load highest core was like 79 degrees. Is that a safe temp?

Doesn't seem no matter how I adjust Vcore it doesn't change. CPU-Z no matter how low or high I set it shows as 1.044v and 1.39v on Everest.

Hmm, like I said mine does that too. Im sure voltages stay what they are at in the bios tho.
I've been reading how Sandybridge's voltages are read wrong on hardware monitors. Um at 4.7ghz @ 1.38v i hit a max of 72 degrees on the hottest core.\

Is anyone else's boot time taking reeeeeeally long? (@ GB mobo dudebros)

Some times it boots fast, some times it takes an extra 10-20 seconds. I have quick boot enabled and its not really too "quick"

Thanks for that. It helped alot. I guess I should just ignore my Everest Vcore reading. I was puzzled by this the WHOLE time. I think it's a Mobo issue because it's so new. Every program I load doesn't recognize the Z68X.

Anyways, I'm biting the bullet. I'm getting the 600T in white tomorrow I think. I already picked up the Asus GTX560. Man you guys are baaaaad for me.





On a side note is anyone interested in the white LED strip lighting? More or less exactly like this http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=52...acture=LIAN-LI but with out the plug. Just need to solder your own molex onto it and you're good to go.

One foot is 8$, One roll of 16.4ft is $80 ($5 foot). Sure beats $20 +tax/foot from Lian-Li. If we have enough people we can split a roll.

ASUS GTX560Ti is boss man. Handles Crysis 2 just fine at 1080p.

Did you OC yours? What'd you set yours at?

Haven't really OCed just a mild bump at 850 core. Forgot what mem is.

I take back what I said about the Coolit ECO.

Turns out I was rushing to put it in and didn't screw two of the screws tight enough. Once I tightened it my CPU temps dropped another 5-8 degrees.

Might need to try and OC higher now. Hottest core temp is 64 degrees on 100% load. Sweeeet.

Hmm maybe swap out hard drive for a Samsung F3 and get a SATA optical drive.

This will be my first build, and I'm only building because I'm taking full advantage of Intel's summer deal on the processor and the SSD.
Comparing the GTX 560 Ti with the GTX 570, I didn't see too much of a jump in performance for the extra money.

I would love to hear some feedback on anything! I haven't quite looked into cooling, as I wouldn't know where to start.

You can probably go lower PSU wattage even if you have multi GPU plans to save some $. 750W is way overkill; 550, 650 is good enough.

How come you have a Kingston SSD there? Sandforce based ones are faster.
