F10 is the chassis number, eg e39, e60... they have rolled into the F's now. it probably still has the same power plant or a modified version of the v10 w/ twin scroll turbos. Quote:

^ dual clutch....SMG III is actually pretty smooth if you drive it a like a manual....ie. lift off throttle slightly when you shift. Also choosing faster shifts pts, smooths out the tranny.....

when BMW announces the performance # of the F10 M5...I am pretty sure the new M5 will look better. This looks way better than the new E63....boring.....

its powered by a V8 TWINSCROLL TWIN TURBO pumping out 560HP and 501TQ
it also comes with the new 7speed DCT
