However, the manner of this riot is despicable. I'm not racist and I do apologize but I have to point this out - I see a bunch of White TRASH in these videos and pictures. Some brown people, extremely small amount of Asians, but a BIG WAVE OF WHITE TRASH DESTROYING VANCOUVER. I do respect people of all races, and I respect hardworking and respectful Caucasians, but it really angers me when I see these videos of these people who are probably High School fails (and you can guess the majority demographic of High School fails in Vancouver).
I apologize to anyone who may be offended by this post but honestly, watch those videos. It's disgraceful, their parents should be ashamed.
Big props to the guy defending that smart car in the video posted a page back. The other hipsters with their skateboards can rot like the trash they are.

CTV reporter last night went to where the guy fell, a witness said he'd tried to jump the gap between the viaduct and the street, and missed - nobody appears to have been pushed or tossed.

The falling guy I believe. A friend was at the game and he texted me that someone fell but then I kept hearing that someone got stabbed or that guy died.
Seriously if someone died, that is fucked. Imagine it was the other way around. What if we won and some fucking Bruins fan came up and KILLED you or a friend. WHAT THE FUCK...that blows my mind. It better not have happened...I'm hoping it's hysteria making stories up.

From watching the News this morning.. I can safely say:
The guy who fell did NOT die. He was sent to hospital ASAP but didn't die. Police are having a press conference this afternoon for all the details.
Last night I heard CTV say that a reported "7 people" were sent to St. Pauls Hospital for stab wounds, but they haven't gotten back to this or confirmed it.
I'm sure everything will be cleared up at the VPD/RCMP press conference later today.
All I can say is: I REALLY HOPE anyone doing anything negative in those pictures gets anything from a fine, to jail time. Personally I don't think the cops did a good enough job. They shouldn't have "shown" their presence. They actually should've been firing WAY MORE tear gas canisters, using pepper spray, and using those god damn battons. Presence doesn't stop a riot, but EXTREME FORCE does. And I think they should've done this right from when people started trying to flip the first car outside the Postal Office.
It might've been a SMALL crowd that started it, but many people with/without Canucks jerseys were helping riot. You can't just blame a small amount of people when everybody else is urging them on and not just going the fuck home.
