Teen turns himself in
A 17-year old boy has turned himself in to Burnaby Mounties after pictures of him looting during the riot popped up on the Internet.
Police want him charged for with looting the Louis Vuitton store on Howe and Georgia. They're also hoping he'll be charged with destroying a Vancouver Police car, which was flipped upside down during the rioting.
They can't name him because he's underage, but police are thanking him for taking responsibility for his actions.
"The prudent thing to do is to just turn yourself in," explains Corporal Granger. "This is an investigation that's not going to go away. We have multiple officers involved with special prosecutors."
If you know anyone who was involved in the riot to call the police. You can also send your photos and videos to Vancouver Police.

Does anyone know if Holt Renfrew was broken into? Posted via RS Mobile
Apparently only a book was stolen from LV at Holts due to that was the only section of glass that was broken where it displayed this book. Otherwise I heard only the window was cracked. They apparently have thicker windows vs let's say the Bay so it wasn't as easy to get in.

I can't believe that he's been in Canada for at least 17 years, and still doesn't have a basic grasp of the English language at the age of 30...
I'm embarrassed to say I went to highschool with this tool and have known him since grade 10. I can tell you guys now he would have never fessed up if he didn't get caught. Thank god global tv filmed the entire process of him lighting the car on fire. At the age of 30, I guess some people never grow up.

Is there a video of this? I'd like to see this guy.

The guy with the roid monkey and pictured at the gym is definitely the guy in the video at 5:10. I used to see him at my gym but I never got his name. Good thing I didn't associated myself with this low life. Can't confirm the FB though. Oh and he was also weak shit. Posted via RS Mobile

Yeah those photos with the roid monkey are taken from his facebook. I know that is his account because he is a friend of a friend.
I want to get RS's take on this because me and a friend have been arguing about the riots.
He was one of the thousands who stayed downtown that night to watch and take it all in. He didn't do any vandalism at all, but he straight up told me that he needed to "experience it first hand" and the only way to be aware of what is happening is to be in the heart of the action.
So he was one of those people with his cellphone running around snapping pics and taking it all in which I think is completely idiotic from my standpoint because if it was people like him, the cops could have gotten to the true rioters A LOT faster.
When he was living in Toronto he took part of the G20 standoff as well and was in the thick of things.
While I understand that many people are claiming that they were downtown to take pictures of the rioters to turn into police, when does that become a bad excuse since their first admittance is they just wanted to be a part of it all?
Does it make a person an accomplice if they are simply standing and watching while other people are injured/stabbed etc. or property is damaged, just to experience it first hand like it is a form of entertainment?
I always thought the majority of Vancouverites are the nicest, most educated, and most moral people in the world.
We would give up our seats to seniors on public transit, we would intervene when a fight broke out between some random strangers, we would stop a thief when we see one stealing from other people we don't even know....
Yet the majority that night stood idle and watch, while a bunch of criminals vandalize, steal, and assault some helpless girls...
