There are times when certain police officers go overboard (i.e. Mehserle in Oakland) but most of the time officers are just defending themselves or the city. The VPD showed great integrity and strength that night. Their jobs are not easy and idiots like the many rioters (and thousands of on lookers) makes it that much harder.

as selfish as this sounds, I'm so happy i didn't let my friends drive and park downtown, and instead dropped them off (and ended up picking them all up 20 minutes later lol).
and that nathan kid's parents saying he didn't do it? please. there's a time to defend your son, now is not that time. he is caught in multiple photos and videos attempting to torch that cop car. how stupid do they think people are?
Hope they take it farther than that after getting caught red handed lighting a cop car on fire. There is a pretty clear video of the guy lighting something on fire and putting it inside the car where the fire started.

I'm at that gym 3-4 times a week and if I see him I'm going to speak my mind. He can help me wipe my ass to repay me for helping clean DT for 5 hours the next day.
And I really hope SFU does something about it. I hate to think that I pay thousands to go to school with scumbags.
