Lucic runs over Miller

Good hit or bad?

HonestTea 11-12-2011 07:56 PM

Bad hit.

Bruins... :fuckthatshit:

!Nhan 11-12-2011 08:03 PM

sad part is that they didn't have anyone to stick up for miller

I've always hated how goalies are untouchable.

This should only be true if you're inside your crease. If you venture outside and are all the way outside like Miller was, you should be subject to hits like any other player.

@BuffNewsVogl: Ryan Miller on collision with Lucic:"I just stuck around because I wanted to say what a piece of [feces] I think Lucic is"

#Sabres Miller con't.: "Fifty pounds on me, and he runs me like that? It's unbelievable. ... That was gutless. Gutless. Piece of [feces]."

#Bruins Lucic on hit with #Sabres Miller:" I was going full speed so it was pretty hard for me to put on the brakes. So that's basically it."

Deja vu for the Flames/Avs game. Flames take 4-0 lead, Avs come back to make it 4-3, and get a last minute 6-4 powerplay but can't complete the comeback.

Am not surprised. I remember when the Canucks played the Aves and they had like 6-7 players on the ice and still couldn't score.

Funny thing was, refs never called too many men :fulloffuck:

We still won the game though :fuckyea:

rsx 11-12-2011 09:21 PM

Miller's a pussy for thinking he's untouchable! I don't see Gerbe, St. louis or any other pint-sized players crying because they had guy heavy guys take runs at them.

Good hit Lucic!!

I get Milbury-Stock "liked" Lucic's hit on Miller, that they feel goalies who play puck SHOULD be fair game. But the rules say they're not.

I was surprised Lucic only got a minor. A guy that big steamrolling a goalie that hard could easily be interpreted as intent to injure.
I say bad hit as well...I'm surprised Chara didn't drag Vanek out of that scrum and beat away at him.

That really pissed me off when Thomas played the body against one of the Twins in the SCF last year.

quasi 11-12-2011 10:01 PM

Bad hit the way the game is called right now but should be a legal hit that far out of the crease.

JesseBlue 11-12-2011 10:15 PM

i dont wanna say it but i like the hit...

how about the stick swing after? intent to injure? and cmon miller has tge equipment to absorb the hit...hehe

b0unce. [?] 11-12-2011 10:30 PM

lucic is just a fucking gorilla. it's funny that 3 sabres coming charging in and he easily flicks them off.
miller isn't hasek. if he's going to skate out like that, he should do the hasek slide check move!

spoon.ek9 11-12-2011 10:34 PM

see, thomas felt the same way that he's untouchable because he's a goalie. that body check he laid on henrik was also bullshit.

also, lol @ leafs own goal to make it 5-2 :D

Dominik Hasek takes out Marian Gaborik - YouTube

LOL @ song choice after the play "I believe I can fly" :awesom:

pastarocket 11-12-2011 10:36 PM

Lucic just took advantage of his momentum and take the opportunity to hit "Miller Time". He could have stopped hard on his skates and sprayed the guy with snow instead, lol.

What grabbed my attention was Miller's comments to the media about the hit. -called out Lucic as a "gutless &*!#$!".

Lucic is gutless. He weighs 50 lbs more than Miller so he chooses to run the smaller player. -buddy of mine said that Lucic is an East Van guy who went to John Oliver high school. School of hard knocks back in the day?? Maybe that's where he learned to pick on smaller guys.

:twirleye:

You have Evander Kane and Lucic mixed up :lol

Kane went to John Oliver

Lucic went to Killarney

d1 11-13-2011 12:02 AM

The thing with the Bruins is they'll run whoever they want and nobody would realistically do shit. Do you really wanna fuck with Lucic or Chara?

AzNightmare 11-13-2011 01:15 AM

Wow, 50 lbs difference?
Never knew Miller was that light. He's only 175 lbs.

They really need to make a fine line on these rules. Can goalies hit players within/around their crease? Can players hit goalies that come out?
Is there different ruling based on if the goalie is challenging a breakaway attempt vs trying to beat a player getting the puck along the boards?

etc.
