Don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but according to the Canucks FB, along with the news that Luongo is out (as mentioned before), Pinizzotto is out for the season after surgery.

I liked Pinizzotto, unproven, but showed flashes of being a great player.

shawn79 11-15-2011 02:05 PM

:fuuuuu: was excited to go to the game and see luongo vs the chicago blackhawks

spideyv2 11-15-2011 02:11 PM

That sucks about pinizzotto, he seemed like the exact type of player we needed for the playoffs

If Lu is DTD, I wander who the back up will be.

spoon.ek9 11-15-2011 02:14 PM

Eddie Lack?

SumAznGuy 11-15-2011 02:19 PM

Canucks G Luongo to miss game with upper-body injury

Sounds like the save off his head on the shot from Mark Streit

JesseBlue 11-15-2011 03:40 PM

funny how they mentioned that he wasnt injured

AzNightmare 11-15-2011 03:42 PM

I remember that year Luongo got his groin injury and missed about 20 games.
We were all like, OH NOES!!! :okay:

now, it's like. :fuckthatshit:

b0unce. [?] 11-15-2011 04:28 PM

i'm pretty sure it's rome's mustache that's making him play better

Funny how a few weeks ago Duchene was demoted to the 4th line :fuckthatshit:

HonestTea 11-15-2011 05:49 PM

Duchene is such a monster! Whoever has him in a Keeper league must be lucky as hell!

trancehead 11-15-2011 06:13 PM

duchene is so damn speedy. i think he drew comparisons to yzerman before?

His favorite player was Sakic case I remember him telling the story the first time they were in the same dressing room together and he was beyond amazed

I have him in 2 leagues, but so far this season he has underperformed :okay:

Hopefully plays like this become more common!

I would expect his current pace is OKAY. i said Stanstny should carry the bulk of the scoring and slowly Duchne will overtake that role

SkinnyPupp 11-15-2011 06:43 PM

He and Jamie Benn were going to be my 'breakout' picks.. well Benn has been doing awesome at least

I have Benn, Luke Adam, Burmistrov in my RS keeper pool.. never done a keeper pool before so I'm not sure how it works, but I assumed that picking guys about to break out in the next season or 2 is the way to go

shawn79 11-15-2011 06:46 PM

duchene has always performed better than tavares in the nhl

Evander Kane was my breakout pick

wat

Duchene - 121 career NHL points
Tavares - 122 career NHL points

Tavares has always performed better than Duchene IMO with the shitty lineup the Islanders have.

Give him legit players to play with and Tavares would have more points than Duchene by a mile.

shawn79 11-15-2011 07:02 PM

tavares needs rick nash to tear it up like they did in the world cup
johansen and nino reunite!
nino + okpo + nabby for nash! :agree:

Tim Budong 11-15-2011 08:19 PM

CBJ should grab tavares and unload mason salary LOL

jeedee 11-15-2011 08:22 PM

You guys play too much console NHL if you think NYI would give away Tavares :lol
