Trading Luongo is a fantasy for the following reasons:
- No trade clause for the next 5 seasons. Gillis does not believe in abusing such clauses.
- Even if Lu were to waive his NTC, what could we get in return? People always talk about that one big power forward who would put us over the top. Guess what? They don't grow on trees and the best ones have a larger cap hit than Lu's contract.
- Schneider is just as capable of mental breakdowns as Lu. In game 6 against Chicago, he coughed up the puck twice which led to 2 goals. We should have won Game 6. Posted via RS Mobile | |
