From what I've gathered, some seem to think AV resents guys like Cody, Grabner and Shirokov because they had all this offensive hype before earning regular roles in the NHL, so AV is extra hard on them because it annoys him. Whereas AV is easier on guys like Rome, Alberts, Bolduc & Desbiens because they remind him of himself when he was a player.

False, they just like to suck AV's cock for playing time

LOL

Montreal is imploding their team with these awful calgaryish contracts.

They are the king in taking on brutal contracts.

Anytime another NHL team takes on a crappy contract, we can say they just Hab'd

To put it into perspective, the only people who got less ice time than Hodgson were Sweatt, Alberts, and Weise!

Like I said before, sometimes I think Canucks win inspite of AV. Alberts as a forward? WTF?

AV needs to check his ego out the door. I bet he's still bitter over Cody's back injury making him look bad.

spoon.ek9 12-09-2011 09:13 AM

and this is why I've said many times, I don't think the Canucks need AV. I really hope there's no animosity between AV and Coho but the evidence kind of speaks for itself. Whatever, we're winning lately and that's all I really care about at this point in the season.

shawn79 12-09-2011 09:17 AM

canucks power play are looking too obvious but no one bothers to do anything about it except the bruins during the finals.

highfive 12-09-2011 09:48 AM

Rogers and Bell has bought MLSE from the Ontario Teacher's Pension Fund. Rogers Arena and Bell Centre stays for the moment.

stuff99 12-09-2011 09:55 AM

Conglomerates buy NHL franchises like we buy homes for investment.

Who cares? He's doing nothing otherwise and the only time he's taking meaningfull face offs is on the PK and as soon as the draw is over he's a liability

People can criticize AV all they want, but the bottom line is that he's the most successful coach in team history and has won the Jack Adams twice since he's been here.

If people actually pay attention to what AV says in press conferences, he has not said anything bad about CoHo. In fact, he has said many times that CoHo has a lot of upside which in AV's terms is as close to actually liking a player as he can get.

CoHo is playing his first full season with the club. There's no need to rush him.

AV made another right call on Oreskovich. His days as a Canuck are finished.

1. No he hasn't
2. You really think he's gonna publicly shit-talk Hodgson?

spoon.ek9 12-09-2011 11:43 AM

AV already did shit talk Coho publicly with the back injury. Coho was right about the whole situation and AV never publicly apologized for lambasting his own player.

shawn79 12-09-2011 11:46 AM

The whole city is behind Coho as we need to be for Luongo.

Tim Budong 12-09-2011 12:23 PM

u think coho would go first in the shootout if AV hates his guts
go figure.

iwantaskyline 12-09-2011 12:36 PM

AV is a great coach. Why? Because Mike Gillis is a great GM. He didn't fire AV when he first became GM even though he had every right to since it wasn't his hiring.

There's a bias against him. Don't think he ACTUALLY hates him.

Also I like the Amsinov celebration. NHL needs a little flash. We can't rip players for being boring and filled with cliches then shit on them for showing some flash and cockiness.

Isn't the NHL trying to market the game to Americans?

NBA and NFL are full of personalities and flash.

I'm almost sure that Vigneault made a sex tape (otherwise known as AV's AV), Alberts found it and has been blackmailing him with it since.

I also like the celebration but I wouldn't blame the Lightning for being pissed. Both are good for entertainment value and if the NHL wants to compete with the other big league sports, they shouldn't try to extinguish flashes of personality like this.

Tim Budong 12-09-2011 01:05 PM

Anisimov did it right in front of HBO cameras
should make some great footage HAHA

Celebrating is fine, but directing it at the other team is crossing the line. If Anisimov "fired his gun" at a random direction, that's fine. But by aiming at Garon, that's taunting/mocking...
